This patch is burning me out. Too much to do to stay relevant

You’re just an LFR guy. Nobody’s giving pressure on you other than yourself.

If you cant handle 3, then run 1 toon. If you cant handle 2 hours on 1 toon, then just play what you can. You can still get exalted at the end of expansion with just 15 min per day with 1 toon.

I’m maining a mage right now and just yesterday started a Druid alt in the new content. Mainly to support the mage with pots, the Druid is me herb/alchemist.

I can’t be bothered to keep up with the rest of my alts, too much to do unless I wanted to play 8 hours a day and I don’t.

Then maybe you guys shouldn’t have petitionned so hard against Legion stat templates.

I didn’t really like the stat templates since it completely removed world pvp but no one could have predicted it going from 99% pvp gear to you being lucky to equip a few pieces. Its like blaming the players for wanting titanforging removed and getting this complete garbage corruptforging, Blizzard doubled down on what was asked to be removed.

I remember spending a lot of time in bc getting attuned to different dungeons and getting keys just to be able to enter them.
I also know warlocks who had to farm soul shards pre raid in vanilla.

Here is a complete list of things you “have to do” to raid mythic competitively.
1 vision a week paid for by the major assault.
1 key a week

I guess work on reps too but since you can get rank 2 without it it’s not a major anyway in 8.3.

That’s all. You can do it in an hour maybe an hour 20 a week.

There are things I dislike about the game atm don’t get me wrong but atleast complain about the right things.

I’ve only really pvp’d on and off from vanilla - now so I’m not fully sure on the stuff pvers had to do but from my memory didnt only 1 person need to have the key and let others in? I remember in karazan you could just die out the front and skip the key by walking through as a ghost. Similar for the dungeons only one person needed the key so its not such a forced grind.

Essence grind is still a huge timegated mess, I’ve got all the rank 3s on this character but I couldn’t fathom doing that again on anyone. For example: lucid dreams had its requirements nerfed but its still 16 days of logging in every day to get in outdated content. I think its the feeling of having to do things like that every day that makes it feel like a chore and not a game anymore. I like doing the occasional mythic +(up to 15) and heroic raid but being forced to do them every week also kills the enjoyment . This isn’t my only gripe with the current game but thats all this topic is about and I’m trying to stay on topic.

Also 1 vision a week, 1 key a week, go grind your daily rep, its still stuff I’d rather not do, previous expacs I’ve simply been able to jump straight into bgs and gear up and then into arenas and be 100% competitive why this expansion do I have to be forced in to content that I don’t have much interest in? Its the lot of little chores that made arenas no longer worth it for me.
I sincerely hope the game gets better, arenas are something unique to wow that I used to enjoy.

Blizzard doesn’t make this content to be rushed through in a single day. If you just “engage in it casually”, they’re quite happy.

Very true, but I assume they like having a large group of players absolutely beat the piss out of it at the start so they can turn to their investors and say “check this out! They just can’t put it down!” as opposed to someone picking away at the latest and greatest over a series of weeks.

Or maybe I am dead wrong and they don’t truly care as long as people stay subbed.

I can’t lie when it comes to being overwhelmed I’m already feeling it, it’s even more fun when you get rejected for groups because you didn’t pick a “main”. I’ve just decided to accept that I’m not going to experience whatever else is tucked away at the upper ends because I am NOT burning myself dry.
