100% Agree with post…sigh…
So why not post in that thread? Did creating a new thread offer new information or opinion? You said yourself, the other person covered it… and more.
To increase visibility. A lot of people do not visit the Dungeons & Raids forums.
Please check DF S1, SL S1, BFA S1.
13-15 for S2 sure, but we’re in S1 right now.
While that is true, that post was in General and got moved for that reason. Anyone looking for answers will Google it, and it would lead them to the same thread in the right forum.
I didn’t know the original topic moved, i assumed it was just posted there to begin with.
The point is to raise visibility more for not only devs, but also players. Some players might know something is wrong but can’t tell exactly what it is, so this showing up in general helps. The original post barely had 10 likes, now it has over 70, so it helped. Also ,the wow devs often don’t make changes on something until people raise a stinker about it, so this is the way to do it.
There’s nothing wrong, just players don’t realize difficulty relativity.
Every season start, content is harder vs season end.
Every season 1, has been harder than season 3/4.
I say this yet I remember that I couldn’t do Kara Upper on Tyrannical 20. (Had to settle for fort.) Was too hard for pugs.
I can assure you. The devs know, do not know how to fix it, and will not post in the 20th thread about this topic in 4 days. But I wish you luck.
Do they? Their track record from other expansions, like taking months to fix some broken content says otherwise. Especially in Shadowlands
I’m sure one “fix” the forums would rejoice until they quit after week of getting all the loots. Nerf everything by 90%. Now people can be bored and say they’ve done everything and m+ is a joke.
We’re still going to get a cumulative nerf of 50% to all dungeons by the end of the month. As is tradition.
Was content objectively broken that most people cared about? Stuff being too hard isn’t an issue.
If it’s past transmog farmers, Blizz doesn’t really care for those.
Trust me, they know. Whether they care or not is a completely different story. Also, this issue may be at the very bottom of a HUGE parking lot of issues they are still working through. It’s not like Dave the IT guy is sitting around, waiting for a complaint, clicks a button, and boom it’s fixed. You are talking about stringing through millions of lines of XML coding, to find ONE line, with ONE error, that when re-strung MIGHT solve the problem in their sandbox environment. They know, they just can’t do anything about it this second, and telling people that would fire more people up… more than they already are.
Shadowlands says otherwise. I refuse to believe this because if they did, they would’ve fixed the expansion in 9.0.5 not in 9.1.5, a full year after release.
Like? Its one of the pillars of the game progress at max level. It should be one of their top priorities.
No, but it has been repeatedly pointed out how and why its wrong. It’s one thing if its just bugs, but if its tuning or design issues in like Necrotic Wake that are still not addresed, then its a problem. They had a entire week to sort it out, and a laughably 20% damage reduction on abom’s damage is ALL they could come up with? Are you serious?
Nothing important was broken for a year.
Nothing is fundamentally wrong with necrotic wake.
Keys have never been the same difficulty since m+ launch. Neither have bosses.
Yeah, they really messed up with Mythic+ - it isn’t worth it.
A Mythic +0… is no joke. With the lining and tuning the way it is, I feel they are more challenging than +12 or +13s last expac. If you don’t know the mechanics, you could still easily get through a +12 or +13 especially on Fortified.
Now? You need to know the mechanics back to front or it’s going to be a bad time… and you get gear worse than T8 bountiful delves will drop.
No plans to do Mythic+ seriously this season - maybe 1 single +4-+7 per week if I can even manage it and not go crazy. It’s just not practical.
I’m not doing this breakdown the quote crap with you. SL took a year to fix, so see you in 2025. Other priorities COULD include: finishing S2 stuff to be tested and ready, 20th anniversary event items and testing, server upgrades/maintenance, art design adjustments. Anything could be on that list, and if they are a First In, First Out company like most companies, crap gets fixed in the order in which it was received. And it will continue to get pointed out for the next year til they fix it. For someone who thinks they have control of the conversation, you are unfamiliar with how tech companies work. As someone who has been a global admin for Amazon, a Data Center manager for Expedia, and a software tech at Apple, I can assure you, the list of what you think you know about their capabilities is FAR larger than what they can achieve in limited time bursts. So, like I said before… I wish you luck, but don’t count on it in 2024.
i keep getting bricked 4-6’s consistently because of either a bad player or two over and over
and yes, i’m running with as many guild mates as i can and we still have to PUG a role player here and there
just losing my patience with people, its appalling how bad players are right now
The covenant swap issue, same with conduit cds. The tedious and fundamental design failures with chroeghast. The fact some bosses like Patrician Cromwell could destroy you even in normal castle nathria gear if you didn’t get the right anima powers was beyond idiotic.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Please check the hotfixes wave that took place this week. Don’t think i’ve seen a list so long so early into the season in a while. It’s a mess.
I jumped into m plus in season 1 DF after having never done it in past expacs.
I loved it. I hit 3k every season on my main and even hit 2.5k on an alt. Both healer specs.
I did it 100% via pugging and had a great time.
I was so excited for this new season I could hardly wait.
And… I am so disappointed. It’s so bad as a healer trying to pug. The dungeons are frustrating. The affix changes are frustrating. The key levels are frustrating.
I really hope they take a hard look at things and find ways to tweak them.
