This is why

That’s an example of someone with a serious addiction issue to a video game lol.

I don’t care for the Bruto but yeah I can’t blame the state of bugs on this.

Yes, because they certainly couldn’t have developed this skin and dropped this mount at any point they wanted in the 6 years the original bruto has been around. They SPECIFICALLY waited for 11.0.5 - because reasons.

They had it planned out all along. Since before they ruined Sylv.

This plot has been a long and hard one to complete but we are nearly there.

Step 1: Ruin Sylv.
Step 2: Remove OG Brutosaur.
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Bugged .5 patch.

It all adds up to me.

Ok gotcha. Doubt people here are making that.

“Why do you care how people spend their money!?”

We don’t. You’re welcome to make whatever bad decisions you want with your money. We don’t know you and we’ll forget you exist. At best we’ll laugh at you for boasting about being a sucker or for coming to the defense of this horrible business practice.

No, you’re not supporting the game with additional puchases. That’s not where the money goes. Amy Hood and the shareholders would probably thank you though, for your willingness to throw away more than the box cost of a major video game title for a single non-unique digital item, if any of them knew you existed.

It’s like one step above just burning your money, and if enough people are willing to be separated so easily from their money in ways that mean they don’t actually have to invest more into the game, the company is going to favor that.

Spend your money however you want, but it sucks that you’re lowering the bar for quality over here with your purchase.

Edit: Phone gave me extra words.

Tbh a lot of the bugs I’ve been experiencing have been around since the pre launch event too. Like for the expansion.

R+U+I+N+S+Y+L+V = 47
R+E+M+O+V+E+O+G …
[rest omitted to keep the 5G transmitters in my blood from squealing on me to the NSA]

omg, Blizzard killed JFK

This was well said Rasemues.

There are many people that feel pretty powerless in this world and feeling the ability to influence something larger than them — even if it’s fake or they are influencing it for the worst — is enough for them.

How are you considering this as players ‘lowering the bar’?

Like where did the original “bar standard” start, what was it measured by?

Glitchy bugs in this game after every expansion launch and patch has always been a thing. Heck the sharding nightmare alone in DF made it so that I played 0 of the patch content, because I’d get re-sharded and miss completing stuff all the time. Remember the Cata nightmares? I dunno how many times I got auto dismounted and fell to my death when the maps would glitch every single time I flew over an effected zone. Shadowlands, where you’d just fly into the ground and get consumed by the terrain - particularly in Bastion but sometimes Maldraxxus too. Or, my fav getting ported into the arena when you were running through the hallway and insta murdered by whatever miniboss was up.

Yeah. I can see how the people buying the mount are to blame.

No sanity went into buying an ugly version of the Dino mount.

It also encourages them to put ever more rare, “out of print”, vendor-carting, and (most importantly) expensive mounts on the Real Money shop, because they know there’s a huge market of people with no impulse control who will line their coffers whenever they offer up more horrendously overpriced, low-effort mount reskins.

But tell me again how you buying Ol’ Bruto doesn’t affect the rest of us.

I don’t know about all that. All I do know is that I just don’t care about the mount or the anniversary event.

There’s a lot going on in this world, the real world, enough to occupy my time and energy to get riled so I don’t really have anything left to get riled up over this game.

It is what it is.

Just remember, no one can afford to work for free. Everything is going to cost something and we all have the option of whether to buy it or not.

Makes no difference in the end, really. We’re not going to change the world by yelling at or arguing with each other in a video game forum.

Be well.

If people are buying domestic Beer Lite at the ballpark for $20 then why would they provide some imports for $5?

Consumers influence things whether we want that to be the case in this particular instance or not.
