The big issue here was corruptions all the way and dev’s didnt care at all for underperforming specs this entire expansion.
Corruptions just increased that gap and made it much much worse. Tanks can out dps the bottom dps specs easily if they get very lucky with TD procs on big pull weeks easily, this week it kinda demands you to slow down cuz bursting you would think that on 15-19s things die slower but it’s the other way around at this point.
i know im cynical but this is yet another ploy to increase played time… your spec sucks? go grind a new one. and it doesnt even require effort from the devs lol, just dont fix stuff.
I know its not on topic…but bruh, if you expect people to properly format a post online, you might as well ask them to hand you the moon so you could put it in your pocket.
You are (I assume) a grown adult, with a clearly normal reading comprehension at the least… so what is the difficulty here? I read it just fine, formaatting or no.
Maybe grow up and just read something?
If you can’t be bothered to read the original post, you have no room leaving any post on any thread, because your comment is likely going to be highly incorrect, and full of tons of assumptions. Not talking about this right now, just in general.
I mean, that is like reading a chapter in the middle of a book, and then saying the book is bad, but you don’t even know how it starts or ends because you could not be bothered to read it. It is silly. Seriously, anybody who says what you said should just not go to the forums.
Think about it. You went out of your way to scroll through the topics. You took the time to read the title. You took the time to type out that WHOLE PARAGRAPH OF A RESPONSE…but for some reason you could not be bothered to just simply read the post? It seems as if people like you just want to spew your septic verbage into the universe, with your fingers in your ears screeching “LA LA LA, I CAN’T HEAR YOU”…
None of what you said is exclusive to tanks though. Everyone can and does receieve criticism. I will concede that there’s more room for error for tanks, which inevitably leads to more oppurtunities to recieve criticism, which seems to be one of the real reasons that tanking isn’t that popular.
But it wasn’t really the same. People were racing to 60 and were all certain the stream they watched yesterday gave them real ultimate knowledge on how to clear ZF as fast as possible (they died).
But a little bit of downtime wasn’t horrible. I did run in to some cool people doing the Stromgarde elites, but that was about it.
I came back to bfa knowing no one and now have heaps of people of on my friends list most of whom I met in keys. It still happens if people want it too. I even met people doing sales for galleywix and added people.
OP ran with a Ret paladin. OP cites “he has a good io tho” as a reason to assume someone is good. OP was doing something past a +15 which is pointless.
I dunno but sounds like he only has himself to blame for this. You are a tank OP. You should never lower yourself to doing any of these 3 things and I think you know that.
Not every run is a dumpster fire, but there’s a lot of bad out there for sure. There’s definitely a reason so many people who like tanking won’t do it for pugs.
People need to get out of the rushing mindset. Up through +10 you don’t have to go fast to time them. Just gotta work 1 pack at a time steady and not die a bunch. That’s a lot of the field people could be doing and working themselves up through.
I’m not here to make jokes or laugh. I think informative discussions are helpful
For all parties.
I can’t speak for other healers but Druids have one casted spell- regrowth. And spamming it without weak hots on the target is inefficient and weak. So the weak spells are necessary for the regrowth to be more powerful.
We have plenty of other tools but we don’t have an option to cast “big strong heals.” Thats my biggest complaint about Druids rigjt now- we are lacking an intermediate cast heal to help with topping off while hots do work.
Most healers don’t have a lot of tools to bring someone from low health to high health in a pinch. At least not in a reliable
Manner.
Not to mention there isn’t a single corruption thats specifically helpful to healeers. Sure there are stat corruptions, but nothing like dps have with damage procs (td, is, gw etc). Those paired with the high damage that comes from corruption just offloads dps choices to more stress for healers and in some cases tanks.
Sounds like a bad friend. Dont mean to offend but if they had any brain cells theyd realize its not your fault. Id get more intelligent friends.
Tanking doesnt scare me, people just need to overcome it. People dont want responsibility rhats why there’s no tanks. The thing is though in most keys it takes all 5 players. Even an imperfect tank is doable. You can overkill 10-15 percent trash on any dungeon and be perfectly fine. Anyways…I hope you get people who will treat you better. The one thing I cant stand is people who wont own up to their mistakes or blame others. I’m tollerant of messing up to almost an endless extent but if someone points fingers, theyre not my friend.
This right here is the reason I despise the current raid environment, toxic people and a waste of your time as tank. can you imagine working a day job, getting home and looking forward to potentially upgrading a piece of gear with the small amount of time have to play and basically wiping for 2 hours. logging out and wondering why a guy pays for this. That’s how I feel some days …I feel for you Op
i tell people they did good tanks or healing at the end of a dungeon, it isnt much but i hope an “awesome tanking” or “nice heals” is enough for them lol, people dont thank dps either so, i dont think its much different in that regard. there is definitely a lot more pressure.
the amount of people i find that do hilariously bad dps is just insane. I dont think any rotations are complicated right now, why am i outdpsing a 450 rogue on my 430 war??? why is a 470 hunter doing 10k overall and my 450 friend is outdpsing them?? I just cant see why
That’s a great idea. I tried tanking several times before. I can say that there is little to no appreciation shown when things go well, and nothing but toxic sludge thrown around if it doesn’t.
The reason I stopped tanking is simply that I don"t know the routes because I usually just follow along in whatever direction the tank goes as a dps. Also, I generally like to play ranged.
