Or hear me out…people can be utterly terrible and be kick happy, good lord why do people immediately resort to victim blaming?! Only toxic behavior I see is this post.
Given his attitude in this thread I’d have to agree with you.
You left in the middle of the encounter to go turn in a quest, which you shouldve done before the encounter, or waited till after it was over. Unless you told them you wanted to turn in the essence real quick, which then obviously the fault is with them. But LFG is working as intended. People can pick who they want in their groups, and have been doing that for a long time now, only difference is the process of you getting rejected is much faster as opposed to 14-15 years ago.
This exactly proves my point. You’re the kind of toxic player that abuses the system for your own ends. And you champion the system as it is, because it serves your needs above everyone else.
He’s using the system exactly as intended, there’s no abuse going on. His group, his goals, his rules.
You know that if LFG was added to any progression-style content, you couldn’t force the playerbase to help YOU ‘get it done as quickly as possible’. How utterly depraved.
You mean you can force others to carry you? How utterly depraved.
I get there are people like you in the world. From my experiences in this game, you might even be a dime a dozen, but I hope that its only 50/50. But for you to just caustically tell folks with a legitimate complaint about a constant drift away from LFG, that Blizzard has enabled a ‘Good’ system… is beyond selfish. It’s downright evil.
What legitimate complaint? Your idiotic ravings basically boiled down to “nobody is willing to take me into their group and I want a way to take any choice away from them so I can force them to carry me.” You are the bloody selfish one here.
As Ammathostus said… this is about a player created barrier of entry, and the effect it has wasting people’s time, or simply denying folks from being able to engage in progression style content.
Go find another group, go make your own group. DPS are a dime a dozen, of course the group leader will pick the best ones. Why should they take someone who’s say 430 over you? Also, there’s no barrier of entry, and no one is wasting your time. You can create your group and fill it as you will, you have never explained why that’s not an option.
P.S. My ilvl is 419… that is NOT the issue here.
It’s enough for the content, but when plenty of 430+ people out there, why would they take 419?
I mean…you’re a tank class that (if I’m reading you right) rolls as DPS. It sounds like by paying attention to the comp you’re going to be shutting out a lot of the (hundreds and hundreds of) DPS whether you intended to or not.
It’s a true combo on GD.
There was a thread last week about how Heroic Ashvane had too strict of a dps check or whatever. Idk if you have ever done LFR in your life, but my pet auto attacking and me only using shadow bolt could probably be like top 8 dps.
Am I reading this right? Wha? So you left the instance to go turn in an essence before you finished the instance, got kicked, and are mad about it?
Someone help me please understand if I am reading this madness right?
Am I reading this right? Wha? So you left the instance to go turn in an essence before you finished the instance, got kicked, and are mad about it?
No, he’s talking about the essence of kings, which is a buff you have to turn in at altar of kings. He didn’t leave the instance, just the boss fight.
Thank you!! Lol. I was about to pick my jaw up…
I don’t do these often
But “the man” isn’t holding you down at all. You have the same opportunity as Cladis. Form your own group and set your own requirements. I bet if you would just start your own group you would find people to join and run the way you want. The point is you’re not even trying to do that but you’ll complain about a system you’re not taking full advantage of.
So it looks like your definition of “Toxic” is anyone that doesn’t go out of their way to help you. It also looks like it might include people that use the in game feature to set an item level requirement higher than what you have.
I would imagine it also includes, and I’m probably at risk of being a toxic player here, anyone that might politely suggest that to get into higher end content you got to do the work to not only prove you’re capable, but beat out other applicants.
LFR group in the mythic raid… LOL
Most groups wouldn’t make it past the second trash pull and the first 500 post on GD would be demanding mythic gets nerfed to something closer to LFR.
You should make a normal group, let people join in the order they apply, set it to mythic and see what happens.
That would sum up nearly everyone’s definition of the word here on GD. lol
So weird. I never got booted on Warfronts… Normal or Heroic.
So this guy got booted once for a reason we dont know and he went straight to the forums to cry about his misfortune?
The fact I got kicked, for doing something that would have helped the raid, was a tertiary complaint highlighting the fact that ONE player shouldn’t be able to ruin a whole group’s gaming experience. Especially if they don’t understand why someone might be in base.
There is a neutral playing field. You have the ability to create your own group. A fact you keep ignoring.
And if you’d bother paying attention, my complaint is that the system is inherently unfair and allows for bias. Which is exactly what you’re proving as well. HIS group. HIS goals. HIS rules. Where’s the option for a neutral playing field? There isn’t. If there was, I wouldn’t have made this thread.
Do you even understand what “neutral playing field” means? It doesn’t mean take whoever applies regardless of qualifications. It means judging people based only on their qualifications. Also, “inherent unfair and allows for bias”, when you are objectively less qualified, it’s not bias, it’s selection criteria.
No one is carrying me at 419 ilvl coming in at #1 DPS. Garbage depraved comment.
First, no dps tools track warfront dps right, because of the distance involved. Second, I highly doubt 44k is the highest dps. I can pull that without the minions you get in WF, I’m usually around 60-80k with the 2 knights.
Wrong. Only a psychopath would see the situation that way. I only want an alternative. You can still queue for LFG with Premades. Nothing is stopping you from making a group and joining LFG. Talk about an idiotic comment.
You have a alternative, it’s called make your own group.
The fact the player base controls the entry, there IS a barrier.
…There’s so much stupid in this comment I don’t even know where to start. Everyone can apply, and you are selected based on your qualifications. If there are people more qualified then you, WHY would the group leader take you?
If its enough for the content, and I can out play 430s on the DPS chart, then why is the ONLY option to join the content player controlled? It’s unfair. And by the tone of your toxic and aggressive reply, you come across as one who would love nothing more than to have an environment of unfairness and inequity.
First, I highly doubt you out dps 430s given your absolute lack of knowledge on how WFs work and the low number you gave. Second, even if it were true, the group leader has no idea and can only judge based on the information available.
And wrong again. I didn’t “Leave the boss fight”. As soon as the gates were down, I Flight Whistled to base to turn in an item that would have made the fight much quicker for everyone. You have to get through about a dozen mobs, most of which are elite, before you get to the boss when the gates go down.
What group doesn’t pull those mobs with the boss?
One person having control over 29 others is not a ‘neutral playing field’ A point you are missing.
Once the gates are down there’s really no reason to be in the base. The boss would die without your buff and would be near down if not downed by the time you got back.
One person having control over 29 others is not a ‘neutral playing field’ A point you are missing.
Based on how I’ve seen most player perform in queued content, I’d much rather have control over my group then getting a bunch of people that have no idea how their classes work or how the content works.
