Yeah, give me mmr in skirms and rewards and I’m good. It’s literally all I need. Face similarly skilled players, being able to progress and not spend hours trying to play.

We all know that won’t happen though. People will do 3’s get the gear advantage. Then go do Solo que and have double your Hp and mainstat just clapping xD

As long as it’s not it’s own bracket, I’m good with it.
My only issue is it having it’s own bracket, needs to be tied into the other brackets.
If they implement the WoD system like they’re thinking about doing, it might.

there is no solution for the casual pvper that doesn’t want to wait in LFG for hours every day when hes off work or home from school to play pvp.
It’s the only option and yes it would need some adjustments but why stop at solo q. Add a better LFG AND solo q. You guys gota open your minds a bit

Could say the same about people who want soloQ as it’s own bracket, they’re not thinking of others or the consequences of what it would do to the game.
Ironically people who feel as I do, get called selfish.
maybe if we get a gear system like wod
maybe if you end up with lets say a 20k hp player versus 40k hp players
maybe if they try to put some balance in (lol)
they are already having enough troubles to balance pvp, i wonder what would happen if they split the few ressources they seem to have to a solo q
Not sure why everyone just seems to think solo que means just that. Solo.
People will play decent games with people and add them. And play with said people added. The whole point of solo que is to actually get to play rated pvp rather than waiting in either LFG or being denied for not having 3200 BFA experience?
Sure some people will be solo for life type grinders, but a lot of people enjoy playing when you are playing with the boys.

How can you have mmr tied to completely rng factors.
Mmr is calculated by performance based on pretty fixed factors with wow arena.there will be so many holes and problems with this system because of how this games pvp work.
Doesn’t matter what they add the crowd whining for it will whine about a fix to it then whine about that then whine that it’s gone.

It’s seems like people are asking for something that they don’t actually want but are trying to find what they want.
Ie a better lfg system instead of a new mode.
Nobody said anything about being selfish, just pairing coordinated teams with uncoordinated ones sounds a bit silly in a competitive setting.
Every game with a Solo Q system only allows duos (usually 5v5 games).
It could work to a certain degree, some people push really high without voice comes, but it just adds another pain point.
They need solo q implemented with the current ladder, if you wanna push higher then form a team and get in voice. see? MMO aspect preserved.
Game also needs a way to find arena partners offline, like post you profile, and ppl can find you while offline.
While the LFG system was fine for its time, the game and gaming market has changed sooooo much since lfg system was implemented (I think all the way back in MoP). The current way of finding arena partners is sooo archaic.
Anything is eons better than players (especially newer ones) being gatekept by listings like,
1500cr 2.4kexp REQUIRED, NO LINK NO INV
I cant tell you the amt of listings I see in lfg that are like 1600, LINK 2k+. Really pretty absurd.
I mean, WoW Tinder sounds good on paper but its still the same old same old, queue a game, win a few, get triple crit Toll’d by a Ret, instant disband and rinse repeat.
The thing being slightly more convenient only solves parts of its problems.
I don’t wanna be that guy but by using critical thinking this issue is solved with voice coms. If ur not in voice and the healer gets cc’d and the ret pops 3 globals then tolls you and you had cloak or sprint avail the healers going to realize you’re not worth the time. This is just an example not saying you.
If people see you’re worth playing with they play through the losses and work with the team so everyone improves. I have none of these lfg experiences (except it’s really hard to get into a group initially if I’m Unholy) and I attribute it to playing my class well and ONLY playing if people will use VOICE.
It’s worth trying instead of asking for a major new feature after an expac launch lmao

Still a vast improvement over what we currently have. go to bed wake up see u got like 10 matches 5 are online, 2 of which are actively looking to q. Could even have like a little ‘status’ setting in your profile of ‘offline’ or ‘actively looking for qs’
better than the alternative which we currently have which is,
sit in lfg 20-30 min, do 4 games, ppl drop.
at the VERY VERY VERYYYY least you skip the initial waiting part, which much much more upside than current system. People could find better matches with a more in-depth profile rather than just a quick lfg listing.
The potential upsides just outweigh the negatives. Its not even a contest.

I havent hit 1600, and love the idea of a solo q rated, especially for BG’s (my old MMORPG already had this)
Im a casual and just want to que something rated without being gatekept by LFG, MMR related to specs would be great also
My established circle is gone this season due to irl responsibilities, military, and I’ve used alot of LFG this season while really not playing alot. Sitting 2.3 right now which is admittedly not amazing but it definitely debunks your horrible idea that lfg can’t be done.

Yeah i’m aware, that wasn’t a ret complaint and don’t want to turn it into that, i know the counterplay to ret lol.
I just wanted to pick the most glaring example of stuff that happens at entry level MMRs, specially since Rets are insanely popular at that rating due to being good noobstompers.
I agree that it would help, i mean we can only go up from the current system anyway.
WoW Tinder wouldn’t fix that though, i mean check-pvp already kind of does this and lists everything. Old achievements should just be wiped/transfered to FoS’s anyway, the game changing so much each xpack would warrant it.
On the other hand i do feel the community is becoming wiser to this though as people don’t take to take into acocunt achievements from like 10 years ago anymore (nor should they).
I’m personally having a better time since i started playing toons without anything and hiding stuff from my older ones. Its weird.
