This is the worst expansion in years for non-dungeon/raid players

I don’t know if there’s some kind of reading comprehension issue or confirmation bias going on with statements like these.

Casuals, not speaking 100% because it’s never 100%, do participate in group content…when they are permitted to outside of being in a guild.

And that’s the point people are missing? The outside of running with your guild (or not being in one).

All of the comebacks to that statement are trite and have been shown to not really be a solution. Otherwise we wouldn’t still have tons of forum posts about it.

Some horror stories:
Start your own group? Okay, then get kicked when you turn over leader for not being gud, not having an acceptable IO score, not being FoTM or ideally suited for the dungeon, for not showing how you are optimal for their convenience?

All of which tie back to actual incidences…which, no, no one’s ever going to provide the video, 432 witness statements, and signed confessions from the perpetrators for.

I’ll reiterate from a previous post: when did it get to be that people had to be allowed to participate?..what level of effort is enough effort? That seems to be a constantly moving target based solely on the answer that keeps people out.

Gearing up through non-mythic dungeons, WQ/dailies, rep…bridged gaps, instead of burying people behind toll-gates…allowing the parallel acquisition to a certain point…which is now, pretty much, either gone or time locked so far down the line to be all but useless any time soon.

But…but…raiders are forced to grind those and they shouldn’t have to!
But…but…muh purplez have to validate me!

It’s more than a bit off-putting, blaming less hardcore players for the lack of scruples (and selfishness for everyone’s time) by those more hardcore players hypocrisy and narcissism on display in the more, let’s say contempt-heavy, posts?

it’s basically the same garbage arguments over heirlooms and leveling…where the loudest whining came from people who refused not to use them in the first place…it was always their choice to level slower, but no, can’t have that for anyone because their effort and goal validation was more important?

TLDR: Casual players do make groups, play in groups, that aren’t even PuGs even…except that a lot are not seeing tangible (their definition, not yours) rewards for time spent. And their time spent is just as important as that streamer/raider/no-lifer.
