This is the suckiest WoW anniversary

So you’ve been doing the quests and the content that gets you coins but you haven’t been trying? I think you may be more than you realize

You realize you get coins for doing things you would otherwise normally be doing? Lighting the Flames in hallofall gives them, delve weekly gives them, Worldsoul quest gave them, Threads weekly gives them, etc.

I did the quests around the event on tuesday when it came out and haven’t otherwise touched the event since, yet my coin count has continued to climb all week.

49 the first week and 36 every subsequent week, with additional token methods unlocking after you’ve gotten 100 tokens, so not a “sniff”.

20% bonus exp is noticeable.

You clearly have never done any other anniversary event in the history of WoW then, lol.

No the OP is not the majority. Many of us like well earned rewards. Stop being lazy. I personally am enjoying this anniversary very much.

No shot lmao

One TW dungeon gave me 5-6 levels for so long

People have already opted out at 20, 30, 40 coins depending how much extra time they were able to invest in this nonsense.
People have already checked out. OP is the majority.

I recognize laziness when people weasel into m+ dungeons they have no business in because they’re didn’t read a dungeon guide, a class guide, enchant appropriately, have no kick tracker, didn’t use kicks, and typically 1 goober does less dps than the tank.

That’s laziness. That’s the definition of trying to get something for nothing is this gods-forsaken game.

Speaking out against being forced to do boring, mundane, out and awaygo chores, a number 1 grievance with WoW since WOD, isn’t being lazy.

Doing mind-numbingly boring world crap that doesn’t even matter if you know a rotation for your character, activities I could fall asleep to, provide no stimulation when that’s the edge up that video games are suppose to have over ALL other media: stimulus interaction-

that’s lazy design.

Just make the bronze drop from the 3 pillars of content I’m already doing for hours and hours a week to progress my characters: Raids, M+, BGs (and delves for the super casuals).

And now, like clockwork, they are massively buffing the acquisition rate of the bronze tokens. Create the problem, watch people get upset, then rush in to “save the day”. They have done it so many times its sickening.

Of all time?

There is nothing hard about grinding for the tokens. The simple fact that Blizzard is trying to time gate rewards is tone deaf- people have lives and I imagine a lot of people would rather no-life WoW in October and early November because from late November through January their social calendar is rather booked.

You realize that a lot of the (highly limited, weekly) options are things that many players DO NOT ordinarily do? And do not WANT to or CAN NOT do? Meanwhile, some of us have tens of thousands of timewalking currency that can’t be used, when it is traditionally the currency for these events?

They could at least let us use alts, so we can do repeats of the types of content that is entertaining/possible for us, but NOPE. Yet again, Blizzard makes it plain that FUN and ENTERTAINMENT is not what they design WoW for. It’s purely a hamster wheel for the shareholders, with players (particularly casuals/disabled players) thrown under the bus per usual.

So basically it just sounds like you want to be handed things without having to play the game. If that is the case, why does it even matter? Just go play something else.

Also, there’s plenty of things to spend timewalking badges on in the anniversary. I spent over 30k timewalking badges last week…

But, whatever dude. If your going to complain you have to actually play in order to get it then there is no value in arguing with you.

I mean, for the past years we used to receive a celebration package in the mail that everyone was looking forward to. We received the xp-buff token, a toy, a pet, or in 2011 we even received the VanCleef Cosmetic Set as a GIFT (the sets cost 200 (!) tokens this year) - the event actually FELT like an anniversary - until this year. For the 20th anniversary of all, we received literally NOTHING, they didn’t even manage to implement the achievement, and we have to grind for every little bit for days or weeks.

OF COURSE people are disappointed and don’t get it. This event has nothing in common with an anniversary event, it doesn’t even FEEL like an anniversary.

Sucky experience I don’t know about that. Chromie time, XP buffs, level 80 buff, Candy buckets, War mode, and Sunday you will get the DM Faire buff. A new toon can level up between candy buckets.

Most of the people complaining don’t actually have any valid complaints… more just complaining to feel like they’re part of something. It’s not perfect, but has any anniversary prior ever really given us anything besides a little boost thing and a thank you?

Yes, see my reply above. We received a celebration package every year.

Are we playing the same game? I’m having a great time.

The event is good. I bet you weren’t there during the pre Shadowlands Scourge event where we all stood for half an hour in a single spot to farm a bag. And what was the 19th anniversary event? Killing Doomwalker for a 100% drop mount and that’s it.

I just came back to these forums to see how badly some of your comments against my opinions for a better game that I deserve are going. Nice to see that as usual, the comments aged like already spoiled milk from people who disagree with my foresight.
