This is the fastest I have gotten bored with the game

Guild wars 2 is an incredible MMO to play on wow breaks its where wow got ALL of their popular ideas from and it’s overall a better built and maintained game / community

GW2 has some really cool stuff BUT, it doesn’t scratch the same itch. Its not nearly as cool as it threatened to be on release. The F2P model is also horrible for an MMO.

Nah i gotta completely disagree i think the only reason i ever come back to wow is unfortunately this game feels and plays better than any mmo out there but 100% GW2 is in every other way a better game.

Right now if EQ devs made a game as good as T and L or ffxiv i am sure it would do better than the original EQ.

Ffxiv has age and story length holding it back while T and L has its negative pvp playstyle holding it back.

That’s what I mean.

But yeah, GW2 has some great stuff. I just don’t like the pvp. And the fact that the pvp is so divorced from the rest of the world.

I also don’t like the fact that it doesn’t do the holy Trinity. I like tanking and having a healer.

It pioneered some features that helped hasten the death of WoWs overworld, that only annoy me because I’m aware of it, but I probably wouldn’t notice otherwise.

The 0.5 patch being purely anniversary with only weeklys kind of stalled the story IMHO. It’s not as bad as the Twitter or S.E.L.F.I.E. patch but it should never have been a full “point” patch.

dont miss out on bronze tokens! u crazy!

DF was an average expansion.

TWW is just a copy of DF but with more bugs.

So I can see why people are bored already.

Pretty much this. More toxic , less stable version of DF.

If you liked DF I am sure you are going to like TWW. But the bugs and exploits will detract from TWW even if you really thought DF was a top three expansion.

I must have odd taste because I like every expansion people hate, cept SL. no one can like SL. But BFA, Loved it! so far this expansion FUN!

I did notice alot of the raid bosses have the same mechanics as BFA ones though. Maybe thats why I like it though haha.

I’ll have them mail you all the rewards next time, that would be better right?

I think retail WoW is done for, the work the devs are putting out right now would have crashed and burned if it was in a new MMO. The only thing keeping retail going is sunk cost fallacy and the strength of the WoW IP, which is barely recognizable in retail these days.

Eh I mean it’s like what… week 7? I’ll push hard for the first 4-5…. But I dropped down to a 4x 10 vault last week in my m+ row and I think it’s about time I drop to 1x10 and raid log for rest of season. Pretty par for the course.

As more of a BM Deathstalker, I kinda preferred the chakram.

That’s more about having fun with the guild I would imagine. We don’t progress super fast at all and I am good with that, but we do have an amazing amount of fun.

I miss chakrams so bad. I used them all through SL. Both chakrams.

When?

And I ask this as someone who played Chain Harvest well past its expiry date.

In most cases, optimal covenant was determined by content type. You might choose one covenant for pvp and another for m+ and perhaps even another for raiding. Each of those covenants gave you two active abilities that could dramatically change your playstyle.

You also had the option of choosing a covenant that maybe wasn’t the theoretical BiS, but that you enjoyed more. Maybe you played a warrior, and prefer to do BGs, carrying the flag. PvP meta might have been Venthyr, but you opted for max mobility. Slapped leaper on your legs and spirit form on your bar as a night fae so you could heroic leap three times then dash forward as a little blue fox, leaving all the enemies in the dust.

That was a decision and it meant a lot. The options weren’t just passive talents.

I swapped between all four covenants on this toon alone.

The options may not have been passive talents (largely they were, though), but every covenant had an objectively best soul conduit, and there was no meaning to the choices. They didn’t significantly change how I played (and still don’t, Pwave is just an opener GCD tax and then a short burst cooldown that ultimately just buffs LB) beyond which fancy button I press. Kyrian totem? Chain Harvey when it’s off CD and I have MSW? Pwave to start a pull for the haste from a forced interaction Blizzard gave us? We don’t talk about Night Fae shaman.

Or, to TLDR, you know as well as I do that you were running Nadjia on Venthyr, etc.
