Actually it’s totally the same according to you, based on your own logic
Au contraire, if retail players who don’t share the values of classic go back to retail where they belong, it significantly improves my gaming experience.
It will improve when it actually comes out. People on my server are inspecting people looking for communal items and just talking smack to them. Kind of sad.
and they’re not going to, so you’re here alone against a group of people ranting and raving and acting as if you have all the power when you could save yourself the heartache by just…going to find a different game. this is clearly not the one you want to play anymore
There’s no “retail” or “classic” players, there are different sub populations that encompass both… and it’s all garbage and toxic so you guys are arguing over nothing.
I remember the BC launch. I rememeber standing in line to get a CE, only to find out the one I’d pre-ordered had been “lost”, and I had to settle with the standard edition.
Later found out from a friend that one of the managers had “mistakenly” given a CE to his girlfriend at the time. I’ve had every CE since, along with every pet and mount and toy and appearance, etc. they’ve ever released.
So I guess I’ve always been a whale. I’ve server and faction transferred all of my toons (1 for each class) several times. Back in the day, I “boosted” with RAF. Have the zevra to prove it. Recently, I’ve boosted a few characters that got left behind when I wasn’t playing actively.
What I recall of TBC (apart from the crappy GameStop manager) was the dark portal quests and moving into HFP. There’s a video on YouTube somewhere of a super low poly video called “night crusaders vs the maker” that catalogues a small part of it.
My memory of BC is long and clear. And I don’t remember leveling below 60 at all. In Fact, I didn’t have an alt at all until I leveled a prot pally so I could do 2 bear runs every week. Leveling 1-58 (hell, even 1-60) was not a part of the BC experience for me and many others.
This boost has allowed me to step into that place in time right before the dark portal opened. I’m not as well geared as I was, but I’m a level 60 about to embark on a journey through the dark portal, just like I remember.
Do you realize that you are posted in a thread created by a retail tourist that bought a 58 boost, was unhappy that other players were spitting on them in game (LOL), and decided to quit because of it?
Clearly the effort to defend classic from retail whales that can’t even be bothered to level up their own character is paying off.
Lol. Original TBC prepatch never had Belfs or draenai, so no extreme leveling was being done anyways. It wasn’t until release that people started leveling so be thankful we atleast have this time
none of what you said has anything to do with the post you quoted. you are clearly upset beyond consoling
go find a new game, this is clearly not the one you want
This boost has ALSO allowed just about every account in the game to swipe their credit card for an alt they can use for extra profession CDs, drastically reducing the value in these profession CDs for the players who leveled them legitimately.
A lot of these comments are sad and it is a fact, guy, that this game has done nothing for most people all this time (cough… years)
I don’t care about people spending money on the level 58 boost. The only thing I care about are people selling and buying boosts in-game. It greatly disrupts the design of the game, and while you can act like it doesn’t matter, the reality is that, for many of us who want to play the game as intended, it 100% does.
Look at all these retailers posting from their retail characters lmao
I… don’t care?
don’t mind him, he’s just really mad that people aren’t bowing to his whims, he’s like the old man yelling for kids to get off his lawn. maybe if we just all ignore him he’ll finally go away
I don’t care what the anti-boost crowd is calling it.
I’m talking about what terminology Blizzard uses. They’ve always ignored the playerbase’s terms for things.
We’re professions level locked in classic? I can’t remember. But the boost doesn’t give you professions, still have to level those manually. Anyone with that level of commitment probably already had this in place.
You must be lost, this is the classic forum not the retail forum
This better?
Yes, they are level locked
