I dont see why not, the “Leet” players smurfing at low ratings will run off the player base, starting to see signs now of a massive participation dropoff. They have wow pvp all to themselves.
They can stand on top of their hill alone yelling get gud lol. As they ask themselves hmm, queues sure are long where are all the players? How come no one watches their stream, no one donating money, no one whopping out the wallet for some coaching.
Low rated RBGS are the most stressful thing. They have no concept of anything and it’s near impossible to carry
No matter if you cap a flag or kill the EFC, your fellow teammates will actively work against you and you’re fighting the enemy, your teammates, and the ticking clock.
y’all’s stupid dick measuring contest doesn’t matter. the genre is outdated design from the 90’s. they need to innovate and make MMO’s not be boring repetitive grinds for mounts and other junk noone care you have or not unless they want to argue about why the garbage design is good or bad and how it should change or stay the same.
If youre not having fun just unsub. Why are you playing a “game” if youre not having fun. Games are entertainment, literally noone cares about your elite achievements. Even if you get it this season, who cares, you said it yourself.
I never understood this, oh i hate this game and not having fun so im going to continue to play it mentality.
Video games are all boring repetitive grinds. Only the very first MMO that you played in your first gaming experience has the aura of being great.
We all just spend the rest of our lives chasing that “first time “ feeling that unfortunately will never happen again. New games, revamped old games, nothing will ever give that feeling back.
Gamers are all drug users chasing that “first” high, and the drug dealers , I mean the game developers love getting our money.
Player judges their entire ability for joy and fun by comparing themselves to other [rating] and has a bad time!
A person comparing themselves to others has a bad time !
Next, water is wet.
Y’all really gotta take the therapist’s advice not to seek external validation.
Literally had forum players tell us to “man up” pushing rating while most streamers look prepubescent or irl posts in discord show off marshmallow cherubs.
Y’all need help and need to start chasing irl achievements instead.
im finding out on my alts that if you didnt spam queue blitz with all the pvp try hards on the first week youre prolly gonna stay perma hardstuck 1400. ive said it multiple times on these forums, there are casual pvpers, and then there are blitz casuals which are basically worse than pvp bots if you can imagine that
You can always play a different game or just stop playing blitz and shuffle and start queueing arenas with friends. Blitz is a crap shoot just people running around attacking random targets mindlessly. You can literately lose 10 games in a row just by getting put on the wrong team and there’s nothing you can do about it.
please tell me how Witcher 3 is a boring repetitive grind or how horizon zero dawn is boring and repetitive. how is tales of arise boring and repetitive. you face different enemies throughout the game. the game has a leveling system that incorporates that into the world itself and not just race to max via spamming dungeons then go do pvp, dungeons/delves, and raids. the gearing systems aren’t RNG based with the item drop chance plus the additional roll of RNG against other players getting the item you need.
can the combat get a little repetitive after awhile yea but if your constantly facing new enemies with new move sets it helps keep it fresh unlike tab target most things just smacks you with a claw or sword while standing still then doing a stun or power attack. in witcher 3 fighting a Leshen is very different than fighting a chort or a bog hag. in wow if i fight a orc warrior, wolf, ogre, goblin or whatever that is melee based i know the only difference is mostly dps and the elite ones get more special moves that really only affect combat if your pushing keys or if your 30 ilvl below them. a don’t chase anything because I didn’t invest 10-15 years of my life into a single game combining my personality to the game unlike the majority of the MMO crowd. right now I’m playing through lies of p and getting all the achievements in black myth wukong. I play a variety of games which made me realize that the accomplishments I get in a game mean nothing to everyone and anyone but me. I just find good games to play then play them. I point out flaws in games when I see them. as I see it MMO’s are old outdated and aren’t popular in gaming as a whole. I hear more people talk about League than i do about any MMO. I can always find someone to talk to about open world RPG’s, sports, or even Genshin impact (which I don’t play) more than I find people that play MMO’s. your genre won’t improve if you keep asking for more of the same and all I see when I look at the war within is BFA, SL, and DF with a different coat of paint slapped onto it and some numbers tweaked behind the scenes.
Definitely true for some. The last time I had this feeling was recently in an Ashran while standing on a ledge by glaives and a DK beneath me was attacking a shaman on the beach. I popped all my arcane CD’s and pumped him so hard. I definitely got a “high” from that.
Point is, it’s definitely possible with modern WoW but not as often as someone’s first time of course.
I think players Love this game, they want it to succeed, they just get bummed out when their class/spec loses on the wheel of FOTM. Game has unachievable rewards to NON whales, and with Glads and Professional players camping the lower brackets, no one enjoys being power farmed every single game. So with even the lower rewards like transmoggies being off limits to most, why even bother with pvp.
There is a reason the overwhelming majority of wow players despise pvp lol.
you’re kinda just elaborating on why you believe people no longer actually like the game. Tbh, If I felt like what you’re describing, I’d unsub. Gotta learn to let go of the past. The game isn’t what you grew to love anymore, unsub. simple as that.
