This Game is Honestly

I can understand hitting a threshold, but at no point should people be insulting others, or attacking blues on the forums when they’re usually Community Managers who have no impact on the game.

An example of this is how often those in the Customer Support channel get railed by people because they aren’t bending to their whims. Those players talk about opening so many tickets because they don’t like the response, not recognizing that the blues here are under limitations on what they can do as well, and some of the insults get to truly disgusting levels.

I can understand frustration. But we’re all human here. I recognize issues in the game, and I understand it’s awful running into bugs or problems. I for one don’t want to touch Twisting Corridors again until I see a fix for the druid bug even though I’m enjoying it. But I almost broke my monitor when it kept happening to me last time. I didn’t immediately run to the forums and scream for a blue’s job to be revoked, I just stopped doing what was frustrating me.

So, this is probably where we agree to disagree. I think people need to look at their own attitudes and realize they aren’t providing constructive criticism or doing what’s best for their own blood pressure, and they really should worry more about themselves than trying to call for a witch hunt against the game developers. That’s just my opinion, however.

I’m a returning player - I stopped playing after Pandaria. I started leveling a few of my characters in Legion expansion recently and I just have to say that I’m blown away at how beautiful all the zones are. Every inch of every zone has so much detail without it being a strain on my pc.

The other thing I noticed that I’m so impressed with is the NPC character models. They are so fluid and life-like in their movements. (wish my character moved like that)

This game is most definitely incredible!

Well that’s an opinion, but there’s also mounts in BFA raids

I’m getting mixed signals here, I sense sarcasm but I can’t confirm

It’s really sad that it has come to this, where positivity is perceived as sarcasm or trolling…

Sums it up nicely.

How are you surprised when you posted a blatant falsehood lol

This hasnt been true for over a decade

This is why we think youre trolling

Two different teams, two different developer leads

Sorry for posting my opinion. The communication is way better than SWTOR.

I’ve never played a Riot game but im hopeful with Ghostcrawler at the head of the new MMO they’re developing we may finally have a legitimate contender to WoW.

I’ve seen so many come and go though so im jaded.

WoW has its flaws. There are many things about it that I do not like or things about it that simply do not interest me.

…Yet it’s always the game I eventually come back to just to experience the story or go back through leveling a new character.

What are the channels to Communicate with Blizzard?
Also the standard response, we cant do anything further in matter. This is not RIOT. This is blizzard, they collect money for services and deny even a customary interaction with customer on any issue.

Frustration comes from lack of proper engagement from BLIZZARD. If they engaged and responded as a Company should, there will be less reasons for anger.

But standardized non interactive responses are like magnet for frustration.

Except the weeds are giant hogweed and hazardous when the gardener gets near it. The community has made the blues that do communicate go on rampages and quit and this is when the blues were on here regularly. The player base is and always has been absolutely awful to blizz employees and GMs. This is why they avoid this toxic forum and avoid person to person interactions even in game. “Hyuck hyuck, I know you has 50,000 customers in queue but can you tell me a joke pr give me free stuffs”
This is far from their most popular platform, most players use twitter to reach out where they communicate frequently. People have less characters to use so if they have an issue its either make your point or waste it being a jerk.

It was when Blizzard owned and created the content, now Activision do its like a mmo cod with loot crates that don’t drop loot and classes that 1 shot others in PvP

I think the “devs” view a lot of these toxic demands and what-not as if they were never communicated in the first place. Why should they respond to a bunch of bashing and even personal attacks?

Communication is going to be more effective if you’re professional about it, because then you’re actually talking about the problem and not venting about how neglected you feel.

So until that changes, I doubt we’ll see any sort of one on one player/dev communications. I’m sure they are aware of issues people have but to communicate that to the player base is doubtful.

That I disagree with, given what I’ve seen on the forums since I started playing. They communicate and people scream, they don’t and people scream. They try to explain themselves and people call for them to be fired, they don’t and people scream for their resignations.

In regards to RIOT, from my understanding they shut down their forums and most communication is now done on Reddit and Discord, which if Blizzard tried to move to those we would see a fire storm of epic proportions given people already hate Blizzard being on Twitter.

Do I wish they would communicate more? Yes, yes I do. Do I see why they don’t communicate more? Absolutely, I do. I even acknowledged I’m not fond of the layoffs that got rid of CMs like our Yak. But we still get weekly updates and tweaks, we still have things being fixed and adjusted. They’re not going to remove Torghast or break Raider IO or increase loot drops or most of the other common complaints on the forums, but they’ll address numerical issues and bugs as they can.

I do still think the current development team has an ego that’s going to hurt them in the long run, however.

It is pretty insane how it’s now 2021 and it’s STILL the most polished and best MMO on the market.
Love seeing these positive posts who think the same.

Agree to disagree, I guess.

Their art team is fantastic, I agree.

Starting to sense sarcasm, but maybe that’s just me.

True.

This is a night-and-day experience, depending 100% on whether you have a group you always play with. It’s either incredibly toxic, or enjoyable.

All that said, I can’t/won’t diminish your experience with the game; this is merely my take on your take.
