Personally, I think it’s not fixated on lore enough

As for warlocks
- Warlocks could easily get HEAPS more spell utility & customisations if they utilised the right lore into it.
- Honestly, warlocks should embrace the “Forbidden Arts” trope instead of simply just “Oh no, fel and demons only.” ordeal. You could get void-weavers, blood-magic and necromancer (locks were the first necromancers in WoW) – into the warlock class.

I feel like we should have had a caster version of Meta. The visuals could have been taken from Dark Apotheosis (a modern version), and it could have been a visual representation on our characters associated with our big cooldown abilities. Each spec could have a visually different Apotheosis, and it’d be great.
I think this is the way to make both groups semi-happy. Demon Hunters get to go on pretending that they’re Warlocks, and Warlocks get something back which was stolen.

Yeah, like the warlock meta was pretty much a much stronger version of demon armor from a “lore” standpoint.
And mechanically a tank spec for warlock could be like demonology, but you sacrifice your minions to empower yourself.

OT: Lore didn’t cause Warlocks to lose Meta, Demon Hunters did.
Lock & DH Meta could have reasonably coexisted considering the two functioned differently, but that’s not allowed because of apparent aesthetic overlap. Unfortunate, and representative of the fact that class design has been in free fall for ages, but what can you do?

You know, it’s hilarious i was watching asmongold last night and in one of the videos he said every game is dead. And I’m inclined to believe it in a sense because why else would they let all these pay to win mechanics to fly by in game.
The fact that Kotic got $300 mil goodgbye gift is a testament to how much damage Kotic did to Blizzard games.
The biggest mistake wow had in terms of its story was having multiple people write it, people who probably (Im not sure) never read the original lore.
Several disappointments like these are why i havent bought dragonflight. And if i do end up buying TWW it wont be with my money, instead it would be money made from some other video game unrelated to blizzard.
