Statistically speaking, that’s impossible.
Using obvious lies as an argument will never help your position. It only reinforces the reason why people don’t want to join pre-mades.

Lmfao please
This game has one of the most trash PvP balances in all of history, and that’s even before you factor in consumables
Fact of the matter is vanilla was always a casual MMO, and anyone who thinks you need to take it as seriously as this guy are the real casuals
Found the Master Sergeant blue geared ret pally that gets farmed every game.
Found the scrub who literally cant win a game without getting carried by a perfect team makeup
By you quitting will not change Classic.
Blizzard has stated Classic is here to stay even if the servers are a ghost town.
So just quit.
Have a great day.
How?
Statistically speaking it is not. Considering back in vanilla the pool was smaller and you got to know people better.
You recognized names that you pvped against. I absolutely know that everytime i entered a bg back than it was a premade. How? Because a lot of the time said team was in mine or another vent. Which i had and joimed to talk to them.
Your 8th grade education isn’t something to brag about.
100% would mean there was never a pug group, at all.
I.E. You’re lying
Can I has your golds?
Not sure how well this works for Horde, but for Alliance (Oceanic) I’ve been having great success just solo queueing for AB during WSG weekend. The rankers are mostly in WSG so it’s usually pug vs pug in AB. Fun games so far, only ran into two premades out of a dozen or so games, and am winning a healthy 2/3rds of the matches, with lots of nail-bitingly close ones. For someone like me who likes pug vs pug just for fun and not honor/hr, just queuing whichever of AB/WSG isn’t currently the honor weekend BG seems like the way to go.
I recognise players from other realms by doing BGs with them. I see more players in BGs than I do in the world.
yeah about that…
Hats off to you for finding your own solution without begging Blizzard to change the game for you.
Best of luck to your games.
pre CRBG entirely realm dependant.
Muradin had a ton of premades with a number of very active pvp guilds (which is i guess kind of unusual being it is a PVE realm?) on both factions.
You met their premades all day long.
So no, his memory is not delusional, you probably just were not on his realm.
I don’t know about the whole game, but I can imagine how frustrating it can be in PvP. I know I have no weight in conversations discussing PvP because I do not partake. The reasons I don’t partake are the same reasons a lot of these topics of conversations are being made. While I genuinely feel for the PvP community, it’s disingenuous to claim the entirety of the game will crumble and fall due to that aspect of the game having its issues. These issues aren’t anything new. There’s still a fair amount of a PvE community still alive and kicking.
This game is going to die off slightly due to pvp being a big disappointment with all the premades. and AV is zero enjoyment for alliance. que times for AV for horde are climbing. eventually it won’t be worth it. Do you have 2 hours to wait for a 30 min match?
So…pvp participation will die down. All that is left is raid logging. if you even raid.
One thing that could keep people online, just is ruined by premades.
But…im not saying change it or break it. Although that would be nice. they won’t change it. It’s always been a thing.
I don’t know first hand but i hear premades were no where near as common as they are now.
So i join in the chorus of voices in this thread. premades are a big bummer.
I understand that many different people play this game. Some enjoy a PvP lifestyle, others prefer to only raid, some might even just want to RP, etc. I do some raiding. I see my guild doing raids. I much prefer the leveling process and building a story for each and every one of my characters. I understand not everyone is into all of the game. As I’m leveling other characters, I do see quite a bit of levelers. There’s still plenty to do in this game. I just think that a lot of us are only interested in a couple of them.
Then you simply don’t remember accurately. If premades were this rampant I and others would have been complaining about it like crazy or just stopped queuing altogether.
I definitely wouldn’t have hit exalted with all three.
Yes it is. We had plenty of premades that I was apart of or played against. We knew all the alliance names and guilds. Even so, it wasn’t the way it is today, especially once CRBGs came to be.
In those days there were only a few games open at a time.
This is true.
Pre CRBG’s there were no instant queues really.
Anyone who remembers that probably has their memory of Vanilla starting in Late TBC/WotLK when the battlegroups became huge.
Even WSG was not instant queues 24/7 (we wont discuss AV and its all day queue)
It waxed and waned, kind of like LFG does with times of day and even days of week.
Now WSG was active, for the time you could call it very active, so if you were on at prime time, you were going to have some matches, you might wait 10 or 15 minutes though, at peak time.
And your chances of landing in a match with your realms resident bad boys was super super good, cause they were also trying to hit that peak
time to get as many games in as possible, they also only had the realms population pool to play with.
People LFGing, actively, for BG groups was a thing, cause you did not want to land in a BG facing the bad boys with out some kind of organization.
Actually, at least on our realm, it was kind of a thing for people to shout out that one of the bad boy guilds was in WSG, because if you could form a non guild group and win, or even come out 2 caps to 3, it was worth a lot of cool guy points on the realm.
Different community then.
Even when CRBG’s 1st came in, the battlegroups were very small, so you still had a sense of Our Realm
thing going on. We had only like 6 realms in our battlegroup.
You even had the dedicated premades, trying to help the randoms, giving tips and tactics and promoting them forming groups so that Our Realm
could win more than the other 5 realms, Ya know, so we would look badass, and have awful forum threads opened about our Realm.
That did not last long, as we all know, because shortly after, WoW subscriptions went into orbit, tons of new realms got added and the battlegroups became absolutely huge and all sense of identity in that aspect kind of faded into the woodwork.
Was a fun little garden community for a while though.
They werent but it also depends What phase of vanilla you played through.
When i hit 60 all 3 bgs were already out. But XRBGs were not out yet. I hit R10 completely solo queue. Not only that i hit AB exalted AND AV exalted and WSG Revered before i hit r10.
I played on a low pop pvp server (nathrezim WOO) and i never saw premades or ALMOST never. but maybe that was just my server, someone elses server might have been different. Arthas was the PvP full pop server a large majority of the pvp videos came from. I can almost promise you they had crazy amounts of premades. But thats THEIR server. Everyones servers were different.
EDIT: Also i just remembered something else. As far as i remember unless you made a character on a server to check the time most people didnt even realize what servers were in what time zones and if you did it was after you already dedicated time onto said character and didnt want to start over. My server was i believe a 3 hour difference and could have changed why i saw less premades than other servers because it adjusts what times are “peak” if a majority of the people were all from different time zones
