This expansion feels like it's gone on FOREVER

That’s actually pretty funny.

How do you enjoy the classes? You must not like originality, flavour or actually doing anything with a class beyond pressing the same 3 buttons in rotation.

lmfao, the broad, sweeping and hyperbolic generalization here made by a bleeding-heart fanboy - 'if you dislike the fanfiction-esque story that’s gone off the rails and ignored crucial parts of past lore, you’re a child and a dullard."

no, you’re just a moron.

I like this expansion. I play alts, so always stay busy.

Has it seemed a little slower? Yes, but that just means I have more time to do old content mog runs and now, finally doing some pet battles after all these years.

I log in and do what I want and don’t feel pressure to do what I don’t want.

Ah but your mistaken, WW monk is the only class I enjoy. It has everything you want in a class and PvP wise you can outplay every class in the game with skill. God I love it.

That’s because the more memorable patch of this expac is releasing in a month or 2.

This expansion felt old since the day it came out. They changed the classes before the expansion came out and didn’t add a thing to them at max level, went from WQ for a year in Legion, to questing for a little right back to WQ again. This expansion has not really added much to make it feel exciting. The allied races were stuck behind rep grinds and then leveling back through the same thing again.

The burning of Darnassus is the only significant thing I cared about story wise. Undercity feels the exact same as it did before, the music is even the same if your phased in the unplagued version of it. Darnassus is changed.

There are some very interesting things coming Tmog wise and also updates for our Cata races. These things make me happy and the mount equipment could be neat. The zones are nicely done, the stories in the zones are good, the music is great, but that is every expansion ever…in truth imo WoD offered a better version of these things. The leveling experience wasn’t even that great in BFA.

I am in agreement with you. I can’t wait until it’s over. Hate it that it feels this way, wow is still my favorite but it remains that way because of previous expansion.

For me it’s really Sylvanas. Her plot armor is so immense that I just can’t take the character seriously. I could take her seriously in Warcraft III, Classic, BC, and Wrath. But after that she just turned into a character that I was left scratching my head and being like “Uhh… ok. …Why exactly are you still alive?”

Honestly it makes me sad because I “did” love the character originally. But I think it’s because of the writing ever since the Val’kyr story. It was a sudden shift from a survivor and sympathetic outcast, to basically someone who has world-dominion on the mind, is as incompetent as Cobra Commander; and yet ignores everything she messes up on because she’s got “extra-lives”.

While it’s obvious on what mistakes she makes, she seems to continually walk through them with no consequences; as if every other character is lobotomized. It just detracted from her story, because I remember when Sylvanas ‘was’ more clever than that. I feel like she was replaced by a different character (and I dream that Mal’ganis is possessing her as a hope to salvage the character).

I don’t think of her as a great tactician and survivor post Wrath. I think of her as a example of a toon that should of been retired a long time ago. Maybe BFA will correct this? Maybe she’s been cocky and will return to form when the last Val’kyr dies? I hope so. I don’t think it will though. :I

Sorry but it’s true

That’s a pretty broad brush…I am probably old enough to be either dad or grand dad to the average player and share the sentiment many express here. They have made a complete mess of this expansion. I have the patients of a saint and mine is worn out I unsubbed and follow the forums now, the game is just boring and time gated beyond necessity.

I absolutely liked everything about Legion this expansion is a sheeot show.

Yeah, well xpacs are a 2 year deal and we’re about 9 months in. You can quit if you want but I’m ready for Naz’jatar, the new raids, mogs, mounts and the next part of the story arc. If you want to gimp yourself out of the ability to progress before the ToS part of the xpac that’s your right and preference.

WoW Classic is the Real Battle for Azeroth where battles between Horde and Alliance are actually taking place… The War in BFA is not even a side show

Peope got bored with faction conflict, so we’re on our way to Naz’jatar.

Agree 100%

Literally every new idea in BFA was a flop and is need of reworking

  • Islands - Looked great on paper, beyond horrible execution.
  • Azerite armor - A company as seasoned as Blizz should be embarassed at Azerite.
  • Warfronts - Horrible time sink for a pittance of reward, and not even that well implemented, dull beyond belief.

If these game systems had actually worked, maybe BFA wouldn’t feel like its already been out 5 years.

But because these systems are just so horribly developed, players are left with little else to do except run the same dungeons and raids they’ve been running for the last 6 months.

becasue unlike prior X-pacs…BFA was extremely fast to finish all content.

and there is nothing to do outside of niche islands/pvp. (both of which most ppl dont like)

gathering is “meh”

professions (outside of gathering ones) are mostly dead.

and the new content we DO get…is over extremely fast.

leaving us in a drought of content yet again.

The heart and soul of a game like this is not raids or other elite content. It is not something like warfronts, world quests, or island expeditions that were designed to be a gear/rep/currency dispenser.

It is repeatable routine content. In previous expansions people would spam heroic dungeons because they were fun and rewarding. In legion we did low keys, heroics, and world quests.

Now there is nothing but the void. Short term content is followed by long content droughts. Raiders who raid log may be satisfied with the situation, but raiders I know who have quit said there was nothing to do when not raiding.

Does 0 raiding except LFR Uldir (5/8) and CotS.
Admits saying they don’t care content, Azerite Power, story, etc. So yeahhhhh. I can see how it would feel like it has gone on forever by only doing about 30% of the content.

ib4 “posting on an alt. I mythic raid”

This expac feels like legion lite, don’t get me wrong I loved legion honestly but this expac with the pruning of abilities the gcd changes the botched story, lack of class design honestly I cannot wait for it to be over.
