This expansion feels like it's gone on FOREVER

thus 10000x Legion without the rewards (legos/artifact appearances)

My guild didn’t make it to 8.1 - it died during the winter holidays. I feel like 8.1 should have come out during that time, and it would have felt like a better pace. 8.2 feels like it should be coming out soon - not in the summer…

Now that my main is guildless and I’m not raiding, I’m just leveling alts - avoiding “relevant” BfA content. No thanks warfronts, islands, M+, etc - all boring.

That’s really unfortunate. Guilds and communities are literally at 1/999 when I am online (I am one out of a 1000 online). It’s nuts.

Like you, I abhor WFs. I find them repetitive (more than the average MMO task), easy and boring. I don’t like the concept of Mythic+ - redoing the same content ad nausem with mobs with higher HP is BORING and does not require skill. I’d be inclined to enjoy Mythic+ if classes were inherently fun to play but at this point they are not.

I spend time in my Garrisons (and even older content) and doing little pet battles though I need to finish a couple toons to 120 for my full set. I’m procrastinating though… badly.

I feel the same way, I just mount farm & transmog farm nowadays, also work on alts leveling them, that’s about it.

This is honestly imo how this game should be played at this point. All time and energy should be put into pet battles and old content

I play BFA to cure my insomnia, no joke.

I play it before bed time to induce sleep since it makes me sleepy when I play the game. It is fundamentally dull.

I was having fun up until Battle for Dazar’alor. Sure, some of the mechanics are interesting, but it was a repetitive area we have seen tons of, and I hated being switched to the opposite faction and given cookie-cutter gear. Plus, I was not a fan of Mekkatorque’s stupid bot decoding gimmick.

The raids are not unfun. But they are such a small portion of the game. And frankly, the core issue - crap class design - does not vanish even during hard/engaging content such as raids and pvp.

I am also sick of the repetitiveness - in raids such as Dazar Alor, or dungeons such as SoB. I am sick of the tiny cramped zones. I am sick of how the questing experience is not fresh on Alliance - since the war campaign forces you to explore those zone (vice versa if you main alliance). Everything feels stale.

They should have kept artifacts and made a whole new batch+new artifact traits imo.

So true, what is there even to do until 8.2? nothing?

I don’t like the idea of having to use voice chat to be in a group either.

Exactly! Optional is fine, but mandatory bugs me.

Lol. What is there to do though honestly. Wonder if there’s still people chasing that carrot on a stick when I’ll nust get better gear from a world quest in 8.2

It does feel like forever. This last patch gave me 3 days of new story events and now… limbo again.

definitely feeling it this xpack. we are what, coming up close to a year of this xpack in 2 months and the only * new * content we got was the battle of dazaralor raid and the invasions ( and even those have been around since MOP - WOD pre-patch ). everything else is the same old same old.

systems were changed for the worse. warfronts are just for alt gearing. classes are a gigantic joke. i look at the new FF:ARR class stuff coming for there next xpack and salivate. thats how you iterate on classes.

islands are just… nothing content. they are there just as another means of acquiring AP because the chance of getting anything worthwhile like the mounts are so miniscule its not even worth thinking about hoping they drop. at least when we had scenerios in MOP for our valor caps, the valor served a purpose, to upgrade our gear to its maximum potential. you know player driven progression instead of RNG. AP this xpack is just funnelling a X number into a Y thing to make your azerite traits do a tiny percentage of the exact same thing it was already doing. at least with the valor system it was giving you your WF upgrade from working towards it, and then that piece of gear was maxed.

i still dont know why blizz just dont combine both the valor and the WF/TF systems together. a piece of gear drops and it WF or TFs it can up the base iLv up to +15 ( 5 for WF, 10-15 for TF ). if it doesnt roll a WF/TF you can farm valor to upgrade it up to that max TF +15 roll. if it WF rolls, you can upgrade it 10 more iLv, if it base TF rolles +10, you can upgrade it once to the +15. this gives players a reason to do other content at there own desire and speed. it helps to block badluck with never getting WF/TF rolls because you can, you know, play the game and upgrade your gear. if you were saving valor for upgrading your gear and the same piece drops but it WF/TFs you can just move it onto the next piece to upgrade, because happy days, you got an actual upgrade.

the mage tower was a lot of fun, and it sucks it hasnt been continued and iterated on for more challenging content moving forward. and because of its reward structure, it meant if you really liked its skins on another spec/class, you can then work on that toon to unlock/earn it. thus, you know, playing the game for a goal.

with the removal of tier gear, you only need to earn a set on 1 of each armor type instead of thinking " wow i really like that warrior set, ill work on my warrior over the next month to get it ". instead now when/if i level my rogue/DH/druid i already have the entire mythic BOD set unlocked for them cause i already have it. tier set bonuses i dont care about in the least, but the xmogs were worth farming for. and you dont have that in the new system.

its like blizzard thought around abouts the time they were developing the absolutely terrible netherlight crucible system: " you know what other blizz devs? we should really only develop terrible systems that people hate and just keep doubling down on them instead of what the players find fun ".

if the team A and team B thing really holds up with blizzard. team B should be let go, because team A knocks it out of the park, while team B just… really doesnt. and if the legendary system last xpack didnt teach blizzard the important lesson of: stop trying to roadblock players with arbitrary crap and just make it fun in the first place. where you can earn to buy your legendaries at the end of legion should of been how the system worked in the first place. if that was in at launch of Legion, it would of been heralded as the second coming. blizz always seem to develop into a wall, the players scream bloody murder and then blizzards acts like they never ever got any feedback and does the travolta shrug and acts ignorant of all of the feedback they got.

the next patch does look like it has a lot going on, hopefully its fun to actually play. but its about 6 months too late for a lot of players.

Yep…

Unfortunately this expacs story and content are on even ground with hiw terrible WOD was, i honestly dont know how they’ve F***ed this expansion up after WODs mess. The epic glorious what should have been recovery turning point that was Legion where we thought they learned they’re lesson.

To this worse than filler fluff we’re now stuck with.

My guild is a ghost town, i geared this toon in less than 30 days playing VERY casually and did it all in my own with the only outside contact from other players being Mythic+ runs.

Professions are dead.

The auction house is dead.

Raiding is dead.

Community is dead.

Questing is dead.

Classes are dead.

Vendors/tokens are dead.

F**k, i think im only playing out of habit, i got sick 4 weeks ago and jumped back in after 6 months off because my first toon at 120 was this boring back then as it is now.

And to top it all off, Blizzards only saviour at the moment is literally going back in time 15 years to re-release vanilla for a scientific observation of their original clunky proto-game to find out why the hell their kick off point in all its basic glory is more popular than all the modern masterminding and $$$ their sinking into this expansion.

Glad im not a share holder, alocalyptic times indeed :skull_and_crossbones:

Dont know where that came from, i just got writing and it kept coming

Community based? Sorry, but the community died with the birth of LFG.

We all predicted this would happen when they rolled it out. Wasn’t hard to see where it would lead. Throw in sharding and crz and you can stick a fork in it.

You are a DH you can spam a ability that generates your fury for you. Other classes arent so lucky.

BFA is not even a year old. Let that sink in.
