There is zero reason. He has been around and I never once wondered. Also, his body was unnaturally aged, and I saw that movie “X”, so I would rather not think about him having sex.
I am gay irl. BTW. Cake eating friend of Dorothy. This would be forced representation. No thanks.

I don’t think it would be based off his writing, he’s got room to grow in the realtionship side department if the Blizzard writers decide to do so.
It’s only “forced” if the character has already been established. In this case I don’t think Khadgar’s has. Let’s not dismiss this thread without understanding where the OP is coming from.
Make a game, call it World of LoveCraft and then make all your characters gay, OP.
You’ll be able to satisfy all your needs with that. As it is, this is World of Warcraft so we’ll just go on about our way killing each other.

Khadgar’s coin world quest is called “Mud Mucking,” and it’s on the Broken Shore.
That’s the thing, innit? Sure, there’s room for more representation of practically everything that’s under-represented. No doubt.
But grabbing an established character and suddenly saying, “Oh, by the way, X happens to be Y” with no previous indication of it (the logic of a fanfic plot written by the classic 13 year old girl notwithstanding) isn’t really helping in that arena.
It would make as much sense to suddenly claim that the real reason Deathwing went bonkers in the first place and triggered the Cataclysm was that he was actually a closeted trans-sexual, and identified as a female Goblin. And ‘she’ resented having to hide that. (Meanwhile, Chromie laughs their variable butt off.)
Representation, yes. Random and tacked-on representation for the sake of representation points, no.

I came for the chaos and instead found the forums actually handling this troll rather calmly. Bravo.

#lgbt here, this is a crap way to go about it.
I don’t want a character to he randomly shoehorned into being gay, I want one made from the ground up that is well written and it’s a part of them rather then just
Topkek this one’s gay.

The sexuality of a character or it’s gender shouldn’t matter as long as the impact of the character is still there, what they do should matter more than what they are. Who’s to say a character can’t be a staunch badass first and be gay second, their identity should never be the character more than the character itself. How is that such a hard concept to grasp?

In WoD and Legion it was hinted at that Khadgar and Cordana Felsong had a relationship, but it was never explicitly stated. No reason he couldn’t have an interest in men too, though.
Khadgar and Turalyon should be the forbidden secret love of WOW story.
I fail to see where any character sexual preference matters in this game…straight or gay

Wait, wait, wait… There is another thread saying Khadgar is a dragon.

The first person who suggests that we compromise and make him a gay dragon is to have their feet nailed to the floor of a major raid, fully armored, where all of the fire goes.
Repeatedly.
And they get no help with repair bills.

Or…can we just start with a whole new character and watch his/her development from the ground up? Having as established lore character suddenly turn gay feels so contrived.

Again, OP isn’t asking for representation. He’s literally telling Blizzard to make Khadgar into Gay Harvey Weinstein.

Khadgar has been coming onto me for years. He isn’t
It wouldn’t take a lot to miss that one since it happened in a book and not in game. (I wish it had been in game. Big sadface.
)
However, did the OP somehow miss Qadarin and Thiernax?? I love them!!
