I’ll be honest, I think the way they’ve gated the stories of various zones behind Covenants is really dragging me down. The 50-60 questing experience was an awful lot of unresolved problems. We put a bandage on these places that are bleeding out and move on, and it just leaves far too much unresolved.
Out of the four questing zones, you’ll only ever complete one of them fully on a single character.
Imagine going to, say, Mount Hyjal in Cataclysm and then after getting to the Shrine of Aessina you’re told, “There’s trouble brewing in the ocean, go check it out, don’t worry about most of the mountain still being on fire.”
