That’s literally what ‘let go’ means in that context. When you say that someone was ‘let go’ from a company, that means they were fired.
And by the look of it, he was contracted to work on FFXIV, he’s not even an employee of the company at this point (he left Square Enix in 2005.). Seems like he was contracted to write two scenarios in FFXIV, one during the Stormblood expansion and another in the Shadowbringers expansion.
Sargeras was not ‘tricked’ by the Nathrezim into doing what he did. That’s not reflected in any of the lore in Shadowlands, or in any supplemental lore located outside of the game.
Yes it is go play the venthyr the prince explains the dreadlords how they came to be malganius in his pointless reason to collect wrath medallion spills the beans the jailer is behind everything. Infact go over to yt watch some nobbel87 vids even the spoiler stuff for next patch confirms this junk rewrite.
The red blob that knocks out the arbitor is the titan argus and the ones behind getting him to SL the dreadlords. And the reason? To stop us from making a new arbitor and instead recreating the titan argus minion of the jailer.
I literally did, my main is with the Venthyr covenant.
And I remember the quest you’re referring to, it does not state or imply that the Nathrezim tricked Sargeras, only that the Nathrezim viewed the Legion as a pawn in the strategy that Denathrius had devised.
It’s clear you don’t understand what you’re talking about, so I’ll waste no more time trying to educate you.
No its clear youre in denial Jailer gets dethroned locked in maw convinced big daddy vamp to create the dreadlords and sends them to every realm and reality. Including the void ya know void lords which possibly might be the reason for the old gods being shot into the universe as space herps.
The dreadlords get busted by naruu who lay waste to the venthyr emberward.
meanwile, sargeras out doing his big sword action killing demons notices they keep coming back.
So creates a prison world that just so happens to be a sleeping titan argus.
Eventually finds the dreadlords who seem to be a step above the rest he was slaughtering and he gets the details on the old gods.
And you know the rest cuts open planet beats the pantheon attempts to corrupt them, using argus who is under constant torture due to the revival of an endless army of demons and fel.
Who we eventually kill sending him screaming to the SL to take arbitor and yada yada.
Be in denial this is how this dumpsterfire is being written.
Well genius hate the break it to you but sargeras got down graded the to Rey, jailer is palpatine. See the above then go watch the next patch spoilers.
I genuinely think I am doing playing because of how bad it’s gotten. My head canon as I leave is that we delt with Sargeras at the seat of the Pantheon, Illidan is now his Jailer, and we went back home and dealt with N’zoth, Azshara, and the sword and now Azeroth is in peace. The end.
This is irrelevant. The story has been cheapened. Every single time we find out that Zovaal was behind something, the story is cheapened. Zovaal is attached to the Dreadlords that drove Sargeras mad, Zovaal is attached to Argus in some way as we now know, Zovaal has truly been behind all of it. It’s cheap and it is narcissistic storytelling.
“HA! You thought your bad guy was big and bad? Well get ready for the bigger and badder guy I am writing guys!” I saw a perfect analogy earlier. Danuser is like the kid on the playground that doesn’t want to play with anyone else’s toys so he is destroying all the other toys so that his toys are the coolest and the bestest ever
