no it’s fine as it is…
if you want more professions then make alts
I think it’d be sick if you could just do all of them! It would certainly give players a lot to do.
Baloney. c’mon now, make some sense.
or make gathering secondary so they dont take one of the primary slots.
I’m in favor of another profession, something new though what that might be is part of the solution – archeology and first aid are of the past. So, what do you want?
I think making “gathering for all” is not great, it is a viable profession and people invest in it.
I don’t really think it’s necessary, or even all that desirable to have another primary profession. It can be grindy and boring to do profs.
Gathering moved to passive like cooking or fishing I could see. But honestly if a third prof was a feature, I wouldn’t even take them up on it.
Really like the idea of turning gathering profs into secondary.
While we’re at it can we remove the talent trees from them and slap the bonus stats and procs onto crafted gathering tools?
Ease of leveling alts and no longer needing to train up older expansion profs have already allowed covering everything in a way that was completely unthinkable in the olden days.
They kind of already are. I was able to make a set of BoP engineering goggles for one of my horde characters on a different server using the public crafting order system.
But I also agree that gathering professions shouldn’t be primary professions. Also, making it so that only Tailors (and miners sometimes) get cloth drops was a really bad idea.
That’s the thing though, functionally it’s the same as if you had leveled Engineering on that character and crafted it for yourself, except it forces you to level an alt (a trivial thing)
So why not save time and make the account-wide?
Because professions are meant to be a social interaction between players when you need something that you can’t make. But if you really don’t want to interact with other people, then you have the option.
But the default is that it is a social interaction.
If you want to avoid that, then that’s on your head, not the other way around.
No thanks, the system is working as intended and there is no need to change it.
What about it? If you want to interact with others to get profession items you still can, nothing’s stopping you, even better than leveling it yourself
It’s a moot point, making them warbound is not forcing you to level them
I’ve never understood why there’s a limit on the number of trade skills each character can have since you can only play (gather) with one character at a time. It’s like saying you cant own more than 2 cars because you only have a 2-car garage… it’s stupid.
I’m all in favour of this, and have been forever.
Put all under one banner - lets call it Gathering. Gathering lets you collect skins off dead beasties, pick up a herb nearby and go collect that ore node over there.
But let me add one thing to the wish list - the remote storage option. So you don’t have to keep sending stuff or taking stuff back home to the bank, provide an option to have it automatically deposited into the appropriate tab in your bank from wherever you are.
Note, you would still need to access the bank now and then if you want to transfer materials to your warbank for use by other characters.
Not everyone would make use of Gathering, just as many players dont bother farming for stuff now. They get gold in other ways and pay for what they need. Just makes it easier for those that do.
I believe all Profession Crafting should be more simplified overall, especially considering it is tied to each older expansion. As for Gathering like Mining, Herbs and Skinning - this should be an additional profession like cooking and fishing. Everyone should be able to do gathering of resources in the game. It is long overdue.
Having to use alts with gathering professions is not ideal at all. Gathering is a pretty straightforward thing to do, which is why I believe Blizzard should just add it as an extra profession like Cooking and Fishing.
Suggestion on adding a new Color Dye Profession or Color Changing Tech Contraption made by the folks in Undermine - to allow all WoW players to change the color of their armor and weapons - and eventually their mounts as well!
Basically, the Blizzard WoW Team should add custom color dyes as a new profession in the game, or add to existing professions like Inscription, where all players can finally customize the COLOR of their armor and weapons like never before, and if not via Profession - then Blizzard should create a Tech Contraption that can allow all players to change the color of their gear and weapons, mix it up, sync and match etc., so now all players can truly have a unique look and appearance in the game, as I suggested to Blizzard in the past. This would be super awesome to have in the game, and it would give WoW a huge boost, too!
Just sharing my thoughts on this. Cheers! - JJ -
.
To you. Right? Not for everyone.
No, not just for me - for a lot of players that like the idea. Lol. I am definitely not the only one, friend.
It has been explained many, many times why dyes can’t be used in WoW. Wanting something does not always mean its possible.
And, like I said, friend, as an alternative a Tech type Contraption Machine can be made instead for players to change the color of their armor and weapons, etc. as I mentioned before. Blizzard can call it ColorMind, which would be originally made in Undermine!
