Hey guys I’m thinking of trying retail again but as a reroll switching to monk from hunter. Could any one tell me their thoughts on monk in 8.3? Also what essences and Azerite traits would I need to be competitive in PvP?

I know mw is getting buffed. You might want to keep a healing set just in case.
conflict r3 and flame r3 are both passively obtained and good
3rd slot usually lucid (requires dailies) or CLF (raid essence) but that’s getting nerfed so unsure if a new essence takes it’s place
you can play pretty optimally though with conflict/lucid/flame
WW will be pretty good in 8.3 and it’s getting buffed. scaling however will compensate it again. overall it’s a very good melee atm to play but takes actual skill to do good with if we compare it with dh/dk etc. a good WW is an annoying WW and always has been.
Is rank 1 viable in 3s and has a chunk of comps to play with however the most consistent/best comp being WWDK though.
If you don’t face a lot of DH’s in 2s you can also beat near everything with the right healer.
