Think I am done saving players near death

You are an enemy that need to be killed on sight!
You are also a Warlock, playing with Fel and Void magic: a filthy monstrosity that must be exterminated. The only thing that can save you, in my eyes, is your ability to summon Succubus. Succubus are amazing! “SUCCUBUS FOR PRESIDENT 2024”.

Some ppl disappear or lose track of you before they can thank you. I know it has happened to me several times.

Or do what I do and raise their corpses…

It’s always full, an empty glass would be a pure void, and physically speaking a pure void is impossible. (note this saying does not implicitly state what the glass is full of)

Should had cursed her out in thalassan language

Yesterday I was playing on my tauren druid. She’s so cute, I just love her.

I’m in Drustvar, fishing off the horde base there (forget the name) when I see 2 alliance, a NE and another one, trying for Anchorface and having a hard time.

I picked up the quest and flew out there, helped them kill it and flew back, resumed fishing.

One of the NE players came, stood next to me for a bit. I didn’t think anything of it then I see in my chat box “Thank you” as an emote.

I was surprised. I didn’t have time to respond because I usually don’t use emotes or chat ingame. I was kind of bored, leveling my fishing so that’s the only time I pay attention to chat.

So I wasn’t able to respond with a “you’re welcome” although I wanted to.

When you do things for others on the other faction, don’t assume they’re ungrateful.

We have that dumb language barrier and there’s many that are like me and don’t use the emotes or even know much about computers to figure out macros for responses, etc…

It doesn’t mean you’re not appreciated. You are. What goes around comes back around so put good stuff out there, even if it takes years for it to come back around.
It’s a good thing to do and you got to do something with your time.

Helping ppl is nice though. No?

I do everything out in the open world in guardian because I like to be a bear. I usually help ppl if I think they need a helping paw.

I remember pulling several mobs off of someone (they were about to die). The moment I did they took off and left me to it all. lol

I wouldn’t let one person stop you from helping. Who knows what kinda day they were having? Ofc, ur choice on wut you do (duh).

Maybe we can trust these undead after all

It’s not worth helping randoms, imo. I’ll more than likely watch someone die before I help them. The death of server communities and the implementation of everything being cross-server killed any sort of community we had. Most players don’t care about other players, they don’t care about their groups, guilds, raid teams, nothing. It’s all about me, me, me. No reason to waste your time on randoms you’ll never see again.

I help alliance (and horde) lowbies all the time and have never gotten a thanks either.

I’m not sure if maybe some people aren’t aware they can use emotes to communicate with the opposite faction…
Or maybe they’re just already too stressed out.
That being said I always thank someone who helps me when I’m aware they might’ve been helping me.

I’ll still continue to help lowbies cause I believe in paying it forward and helping cause you want to help but yea a thanks now and then would be nice.

In BFA I decided to try going to 120 without dying on my paladin and was a couple bars away when I saw a hunter who had stumbled into a pack of elites, so I did what good tanks do and pulled the aggro off him. This worked for about a minute of him DPSing while I popped every cooldown to stay alive. It looked like we were going to manage to burn them down in time before I ran out of options.

That’s when at nearly full health he seemingly got bored and ran off. My attempt to go to max level without dying fell two bars short.

To make it worse I occasionally ran into this person in game and was always met with a /wave.

Or you could turn on warmode and instead of helping, you kill!

I did get an odd thank you (TY in chat) from a Tauren I rezzed after the Mortanis fight.

Okay since we have Mikai’s Death scythe that raises the recently deceased, I want Somebody’s Life scythe so I can insta-death touch em now… (also who was in charge of naming these things?)

So you expect something in return for doing something nice for someone. The worst kind of people.

Such a rogue thing to say

Sap sap sap sap sap sap sap…
40min later:
… Sap sap sap sap sap shadowstrike lul now you see me now you don’t

I too miss the feeling of a server community. That feels lost on a lot of realms.

For me, I am choosing to not be in a guild at this time/or make new WoW friends for my own reasons (that I need to get over but I’m not). :woman_shrugging:

Anyway

I don’t see the harm in helping someone. It’s all a way to kill time anyway. Why not help someone you see that is struggling in the open world? Even if you do not get an emote/words/ect. of gratitude. Maybe small acts like this might bring back a sense of community?

Nah, I don’t believe so. What made a good server community, back in the day, was that players saw and played with the same people and guilds on a constant basis. Players, as well as guild on guild, developed relationships both good and bad with each other. Now everyone is just a random pug from so and so server that we’ll likely never see again. This is also a huge factor in the the “toxic”, as people say, community we have now… if you can even call this a community. There is no personal responsibility to act right because you’ll never see these people again.

That I don’t mind at all, and will even pair up with someone to get the quest done.

I’m also the guy that will throw a heal or Rez you if you die before I can help. I do find it odd, and I guess bot like, when they don’t accept the Rez.

And yea, I did say class instead of race… oops

I saw the same person in a couple of TW’s I did yesterday by chance… so… sticks tongue out

I know wut ya mean tho.
