These loot boxes are unacceptable

Seeing D2’s loot tables might ruin you.

Why would it ruin me? I remember looting my first Bartucs. I’m not some spring chicken, nor am I here complaining about loot.

It’s actively hostile toward your time.

I’m mostly joking about it ruining you.

In D4’s last season prior to the expansion, I got a Greatstaff of the Crone within 15 uniques. Twice. It’s really not that rough.

I didn’t say anything about it being rough. I got a perfect 4* yen’s this season with 60%. That’s enough for me.

Not really the point I was making though. Pre expansion was a bit different. While this season rains Mythics, I’m sitting on at least 50 shards after crafting with what runes I had, max aspects are a different story. Higher rolls on aspects becoming increasingly rare (good luck finding anyone over 50%achievement without buying/selling most of what they needed). Temper bricks are the same system. You have a MUCH higher chance of bricking your item due to undesirable rolls.

Anyway long story short, Blizzard will rig the game to keep people engaged. Is what it is.

I haven’t picked up the expansion yet, and thus haven’t played the newest.

I guess where we differ is I don’t feel my time is wasted. Maybe Lost Ark built my tolerance up fairly quick in the short time it took me to hate it.

You’re misunderstanding. Different characters get stuck on the same loot roll. Rogue is stuck getting rings only, Druid is stuck getting trinkets only. This is not just bad RNG from one day. This is multiple days, weeks, months.

I don’t know the complete loot pool so basing it on slots for our characters, the chance of getting trinkets is 2/16? 12% chance to roll that slot. The math would then state .12 raised to how many times it would happen in a row. Lets take one day, which was 4. .12^4 = .000244 or .02% chance of this happening. that’s not 2%, that is .02%.

That’s just one day and this has been 90% been the result on each of my respective characters for each respective item. That is not RNG, that is loot boxes being improperly randomized.

I’ll copy pasta my other answer since your’e also confused.

I just opened my weekly vault on druid - this is my alt now because of the frustration with loot so I only did 2 delves for a weekly vault… guess what I got in my 2 delve vault slot?( Trinket! Can’t make this up

edit: for added fun, it’s concoction: kiss of death, which I got twice last week

yes…blizzard’s definition of the word “random”…
is certainly wrong.

The moment you said this, you should’ve stopped typing. Because you can just go and look it up on Wowhead. Whilst the statistics aren’t correct for the drop rate isn’t correct, what is correct however is that these things drop.

That’s the list you are going by since you are sticking to the whole Delve thing.

And… this isn’t how math works.
A character’s mere ability to equip two trinkets have no impact on the statistical likelihood of getting one or two trinkets.

Nothing of what I have said so far is wrong, disproven, confused, or otherwise. Like it or not, at best what you are talking about is variance but at this point it sounds more like you just made this up. Especially if you are also alt-hopping as well.

Unlikely does not equal impossible. Winning the lottery is something like one in 300 million and someone still won it.

But it’s not really that random when trinkets are so over-represented in the loot table. It would have made sense to give each gear slot an equal chance to drop and then give each option within that gear slot an equal chance to be the final item. It does suck to get nothing but trinkets over and over.
