Why am I seeing Random outright politcal topics and opinions being openly said to bait people and troll recently. Ever since all those people got fired everything wow related for customer support has been going to hell and back. Like keep your politcs out of games I dont want to wake up and see someone talk about blah blah president here if I did I go to trade chat which I veremtly have turned off 99% of the time when I play

Its weird… my other WoW guild legit has gone through big moments where people leave/are kicked because of politics.
My XIV FC doesn’t even talk about it. At all.
I honestly agree with a lot of the sentiment in here: MMOs are generally escapism, if stuff gets heated, let it go and call it a day. You aren’t going to meme anyone to seeing things your way while wiping on Denathrius.
The other side, through really brief convos of this in my FC, we found out we have every kind of person imaginable in the the groups and we all get along just fine when politics isn’t involved. So we just ignore it for the most part.
Wow… almost like the 24/7 BREAKING NEWWWWWSSSS stuff is meant to divide us/make us loathe one another or something…

Some people just don’t get it. Politics and religion do not lend themselves to civil discourse. So, therefore, it is best to just keep your beliefs and opinions to yourself. If you cannot, then there is a need for a third party to monitor and moderate the forums.

You are right. I have seen so many posts flagged and hidden when they have not broken the rules. Blizzard needs to start sanctioning people who are flagging posts because they disagree with the content of them.

Do you find it annoying that Trump is the most common political name you see on Players and Guilds in this game? Like by far.
Also it’s really weird to see people say they’re “far right” when far-right, at least in a traditional sense is straight up authoritarian or fascist. Just say you’re right wing. Unless you actually support fascism. I know a lot of liberals throw around the word “far-right” and make it lose its meaning. But don’t let them.
