Statistically, that’s much more likely than not given the current Tower completion rates.
Many people, even with the artifact power catch up and their choice of craftable legendaries did not complete the tower.
The current timewalking Tower has a 20% completion rate. 4 out of 5 people never attempted it or gave up after trying.
I will, since this one’s more of a question and less arguing for the sake of arguing.
My stance on those is the same as my stance on the MT druid skins: Go ahead and rerelease them, so long as they’re several expansions in the past. The black proto drake/ToC mounts I’d go a bit further and say “yes, release them” because they’re ancient history.
To avoid any ongoing assumptions, note that with MT druid forms specifically, I don’t play druid. I have one, but it’s a neglected alt. I just focus on my monk. This means I have no real investment in getting those forms out and available again or not. I just think it’s a nice thing to let newer players enjoy them since they’ve pretty much run their course.
That’s how I feel about the other things you listed off, too. Current stuff, absolutely not. But no king rules forever.

Dude, you don’t even know what you’re talking about. Blizzard is already cracking down on this. You need to hang around the Customer Support forum more and see how many people are being asked to provide proof that their ID matches the name on their account.
Why? Genuinely curious.
Why give some and not all? Why ascribe differing amounts of “prestige”? Especially when by all accounts it wasn’t as much of a challenge to get them later when outgearing the content in comparison to the other fomo items.
To think, there’s people on here saying the mage tower was easy by the end of legion.
It was never easy and those that say it was just undermines all those people that missed out even more than it already is.
To also think…there are Druid alts that haven’t logged on since legion with those MT appearances. When there are all these feral mains that really really want to express themselves through these MT Forms.
But hey, apparently wanting another crack at them insults all those that got the forms when it was legit and never played Druid again…

The tank and healer challenges in particular were difficult even at the end of the expansion because missing a mechanic often meant you instantly failed.

They did explain why on that one and it’s something I posted in many threads. The Mage Tower was a challenge, whether or not it’s was challenging to you or whoever is reading this is irrelevant, using what we had in Legion but…
That’s why the MT was a limited time event. It can’t be duplicated and any new class and spec that’s released after Legion is not going to have a class hall.

For one thing, “gatekeepers” is such a nonsense term. We are not devs. We cannot stop you from doing anything. We cannot stop the Mage Tower from returning. All we can do is give our opinion and too damn bad if you don’t like it. That’s life and in life people are going to say things you don’t like.
There are work arounds for all of these issues.
WoW works through changing gear, spells, legendaries, and builds every xpac.
They should bring it back. Even if it’s “limited time” and only brought back with each Legion Remix they do (and I say this with belief that, there is room to repeat remixes!)
No, there are no work around for these issues. Do you not realize we’re in Legion Remix right now? They did not bring back the artifact weapons or the legendaries. Hell, instead of giving Evokers their own class hall or Mage Tower challenge, they just didn’t let them into Remix.

Okay: here is a work around
Every spec/class has a set Ilvl, set gear, set talents. They don’t get the benefit of being overpowered. Boom. Then create an equal evoker challenge too - the evokers deserve one.
It’s a remixed event. It’s meant to be different/remixed.
Evokers could still come into it. Even if they aren’t now. There is a planned catchup. They also plan to release secret content towards the end of Remix. If we are lucky: it’ll be a challenge with desired rewards

I would like a 100 wing torghast challenge instead of getting magetower round 3 and get some cool maw forms and weapons aside the s1 2100er pvp maw weapon sets
Just because it’s difficult, doesn’t mean it’s impossible. There will likely be multiple iterations of Legion Remix. It’s a matter of when.
Enabling people to get it now does not discredit effort put in 8 years previous to today. Believing such is ridiculously selfish.
They said the same thing about mythic deathless set and AOTC mounts, too.
Yet people are upset because others are pointing out that Blizz is arbitrarily bringing back content they had originally promised was not going to be brought back/made unobtainable after their respective patches.
