For what it’s worth, Blizzard calls them talent trees. The system on retail is also referred to as ‘talents’. I don’t think semantics are worth bringing into it, honestly.
Anyway, I’m still only interested in how this system evolves going forward. The current system on retail hasn’t been expanded since WoD. If this new system also does not get expanded and only swaps some options for others in between expansions like the current system does, then they may as well have not changed anything at all. I want to gain more talents/abilities as I level up, and I want to continue to do so every time the level cap increases. I don’t want to just stop gaining talents for 3 expansions again.
