Hi, I’m said person who received that reply.
You called it
Cool, got a date and/or time? You mentioned the Mazzoni Center so I’m assuming anything you’d reference would be EST.
That doesn’t have anything to do with whether being gay is a choice or not. You’re moving the goal posts.
I don’t think most people have a problem with gay people, or “gay relationships” being present in the game. However, in Dragonflight’s questing, literally every relationship I’ve come across while questing…is gay. Not exaggerating. Since gay people are typically a small minority of the population, the odds of encountering gay relationships is also correspondingly low, in comparison to straight couples. So, when you only exclusively encounter gay couples, these encounters begin to feel forced. Like they’re just put there to send a message, or score points with ESG or something. How do the peoples of the dragon isles reproduce, if everyone is gay?
Also - not sure who isn’t aware of this yet, but all of the original story & writing talent who created the Warcraft universe and lore has left Blizzard. Nobody left is capable of carrying on that legacy, so if you’re playing for the story and writing, I’m sorry.
It’s big brain time
Being attracted to someone isn’t wrong.
Violating a social contract (marriage), well that’s on you.
It’s a two minute clip from 12-4. I don’t follow Levine, but I watched the retweet of it like 6 hours ago. I can try and look it up again if you wish. But I imagine you’d find it quickly if you search Twitter for her account.
What about that quest for the person who is gay and they are like, I was going to go out on a gay date with my gay lover, but first fix my moped. Moped?! MOPED?? why are there mopeds in the game???
My bad, when you are making one side’s argument for them you tend to be painted with that brush. But by all means, continue carrying on like everyone has the most supportive parents in the world and that trans kids don’t have a suicide problem because all their parents love them ever so much and give them all the encouragement they need.
Okay, not seeing that specific day on her specific @HHS_ASH account, so it might be elsewhere. That elsewhere wouldn’t be her prior retired account however, as that stopped posts once Jan. 2021 hit.
You are though. Bunch of straight couples in Azure Span. Bunch of references to spouses e.g. Malygos and Sindragosa. This is not to even mention all the major lore characters in a straight dynamic. Tyrande and Malfurion literally have another quest.
So…
No one is trying to force minors to actually transition. That’s simply what you want to believe because of misinformation that’s presented. This is where common sense and critical thinking will help you.
Then why isn’t anyone saying anything about all of the straight couples of wow feeling “forced” for like 8 expansions…?
We’re probably never even going to see this quest givers ever again. So the fact that people are screaming “over representation” and “forced” makes them seem pretty bigoted/homophobic and that makes it worse. They aren’t even main characters. They’re QUEST GIVERS y’all.
I feel sad that there are so many people in this thread that are being bigoted/homophobic and don’t even understand/comprend how bigoted/homophobic they are being.
Which is worse than all the LGBT characters combined because it reminds me that crap from Val’sharah even exists.
We – trans people – in general have a suicide problem. The comorbidity between depression, suicidality, and transgenderism or gender dysphoria is quite high. Placing this on the heads of parents who don’t want strangers to diagnose and castrate their children is exceptionally disingenuous.
And I would never wish that set of problems on anyone, even people I disagree with. God forbid…
It’s not small minorities of population. It only appears that way because of the force silence that non-straights have gone through. The reason why it seems to be more public is because more people aren’t being quiet about it. The percentage is probably a lot higher than you realize.
Remember…patience…discipline
What percentage of quests (or rather character relationships) in the game would need to be LGTB for you to consider it fair and equitable for both sides?
This is quite literally a lie, though.
It happens already, and with increased regularity. Because young children cannot possibly consent, for one. But also because we have publicly documented evidence of this very thing happening. Like, say, Jeff Younger of Texas losing custody rights for objecting to his < 10 year old child being diagnosed and placed on hormones by a physician.
Tyrande should be with Illidan
She chose poorly
