I agree. Nobody should be allowed to tank any dungeons until they tank 20 dungeons.
Help the tank learn in lower dungeons if they are obviously struggling instead of coming on the forum and crying about it
How can they tank 20 when they can’t tank any that’s like saying you can’t go on the wow forums till you make a wow forum psot
“Applicants must be 18 years old with 20 years of experience and a college degree.”
I take your point.
/agree
Hate to break it to you Mr Hardcore but leveling in dungeons is precisely where you learn to tank.
Anyone who is serious about dungeons is a really bad player man. You could learn a lot from new tanks
It’s a tech job listing staple.
“Must have 6 years of experience in [language that has existed for 2 years] to apply.”
I think their sarcasm went over your head
I think it did too, I don’t know what I was thinking. I think it’s time for bed.
You’d be surprised but there are a lot of jobs that require experience in the field for entry-level positions.
Players like you are why there’s a tank shortage
im of the opposite opinion.
I dont think anyone should be able to DPS UNTIL theyve tried tanking and healing.
Maybe then DPS players would comprehend the repercussions of their behavior.
That’s how I learn to tank in NC and WoLK. But since then I stop tanking. Too much work and no little no encouragement
And people wonder why there’s a tank shortage… People have to learn somehow, some where. Just be kind to people learning to tank, otherwise just leave without saying anything.
I think we should just take in a couple steps further.
New players should not be allowed
They can still pay their subscription but they have to watch us
Edit: blizzard stole my idea and implemented that in classic. Expect my royalties any time now
a player learning their role in a leveling dungeon?
T H E H O R R O R
(Breaking the ten character limit thing-a-ma-doo-dad.)
Seriously what I’d like to see is something more effective than the proving grounds. Instead of the Stockades, there could be an introductory dungeon where groups can learn their roles. You select your role when you first enter, and then you get a helpful tutorial learning the combat mechanics of your role.
That, I think, would be more helpful.
I’m imagining a Proving Grounds type dungeon scenario where the player is tanking or healing, with all the other roles being filled by AI derived from the Comp Stomp or Island Expedition bots. All the bots would be tuned to simulate kids who’ve just finished drinking 3 cans of Monster for the most authentic experience.
Lmao ppl are raging at leveling dungeons now? Sounds like the typical “have 3 years of experience for this entry level job”.
You aren’t wrong. This is where that “advanced player” warning should pop up. Not playing a lizard.
