Of course it does. WoW tries to appeal to a wide variety of players and their playing preferences. Overall I’d have to say it has been successful since it is, after all these years, still successful.
It is inevitable that there will be people that are not happy with how their preferred playstyle is being supported and they will come to the forums to vent. This is normal and at least marginally useful to Blizzard. However, they have many metrics they use in addition to their own playing experiences that play a part in decisions going forward.
Thankfully they don’t engage in knee jerk reactions to the forums but combine feedback (and ignore simple venting) from the forums with their other sources of input.
Personally, with my current very casual playstyle, I’m having fun and feel I’m more than getting my money’s worth from the game. Simply b eing able to escape reality for a bit and wander around in Azeroth is entertaining for me and I’d guess for others as well.
