There is certainly something a bit "fishy" about streamers

well, there is a reason why one of them is amongst the most respected WoW figure out there, and the other took on the persona of an attic-dwelling redneck with questionnable hygiene in order to get more viewers…

Why would I level on a server where people have exploited? It’s not a single player game. This has diminished the value of anything I can do in game.

Its really specific based on the type of content you do, your class, and your own personal preferences. For me for example its a lot of the less obnoxious Rank 1 arena players that are the most valuable for actual “learning” (and Ive been a hardcore arena player almost exclusively for a decade so these guys are familiar to me). Im actually really disappointed in Venruki because hes usually better than this. Snutz, cdew, xaryu, guys like that are better than the asmongolds (and most of them are playing classic now too). You gotta do some digging. I wish I could give you better examples, but I dont really spend too much time on twitch these days. Chances are if they have 100k viewers and an obnoxious twitch chat its not going to be a valuable source of information no matter what persona they put up

So you are going to reroll every time an exploit is found?

Quite the opposite. if these boards are accurate, Asmongold has NO incentive whatsoever to cheat because he fishes more resources out of his mailbox every time he logs in than he could possibly get by exploiting a bug.

all wow streamers are toxic and blizzard should stop bending over backwards for them. but they won’t

I’ve identified your problem sir.

You are watching streamers. Please discontinue immediately.
Continued exposure can lead to ChickenLittlePox and in severe cases, stupidity.

Thank you.

You underestimate the greed of that bald weirdo if you believe that.

After the BfA XP ban wave I can assure you major WoW streamers who might have used this exploit are pooping in their gamer chairs.

Everyone knows Preach received a 31 day ban…but what most do not know, because he agreed to stay silent about it for the 31 days, was that Blizzard told him personally that he put himself on their black list by using and advertising the exploit. Preach was then told that there was a gathering of big name WoW players at Blizz HQ for talks and testing and that he would NOT be invited because of the exploit.

Streamers know the full punishment Preach received for the BfA XP exploit, and that is why they are running around now trying to cover themselves over this layering exploit.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much. As of now, I think the ban hammer is ready to drop on anyone spotted killing multiple bosses.

Trying really hard to care about streamers flip-flopping on some exploit.

They actually have a financial incentive NOT to. Because if you can’t play you can’t have a good stream. No amount of exploiting will make up for that lost income. If I were a streamer I wouldn’t touch exploits with a 10 foot pole. Not even out of curiosity to “figure out how it works”

Has anyone actually been banned for these rampant gamebreaking layer abuse yet?

31 whole days and he kept the characters, I’m sure they’re terrified of Blizz going easy on them too.

i don’t watch streamers either but it doesn’t stop them from negatively impacting me in-game sometimes

But Blizz actively encourages them to exploit by never actually punishing them equivalent to their exploiting, which would be to ban them permanently. And then they might actually have a disincentive, but keep believing that lie of yours - doormat.

It frightens me that people care this deeply what someone on a stream has to say.

Yeah but you say this from a position of a nonstreamer that hasnt had smoke blown up their a*s by a legion of twitch fans for the past 5 years.

Its kinda gotten to a lot of their heads and they lost sight of the big picture, at least thats how it seems to me. Gotta get them purples by any means necessary for the pogs in twitch chat boys

You missed the point.

Preach had an inside connection with the Devs. They would give him info and Alpha invites. Since the BfA ban Blizzard has pulled back from ‘giving’ him inside info that he could use on his channel to get views. Preach is now trying to get back to where he was a few years ago with the Devs.

Good, he should never have had that anyway. But Blizz will shove their entire tongue up there if you have a stream going. I don’t care about your point, don’t talk to me.
