Be the change you want and start a premade for older raid.
Or submit to the superiority of LFR where the queues will let you enter all raids of the expansion every week.

I was seeing tons of tmog runs for older legion raids during the finishing period of ABT.
I guess you weren’t looking hard enough
Yes, there is no reason to older raids. In Vanilla we quit running the older raids so this is nothing new!
I would rather not have to go and run old raids to catch up people, it’s fine for Classic since that’s how it was, but bringing it back to live would be a horrible idea.
As much as I loved Uldir and BoD, and it does suck that old raids kinda sit unused until people start transmog runs much later, I don’t want to be running them every week for the rest of BfA because we need to catch up people and/or gear from said raids is still relevant.
Catch up mechanics are a godsend for those who just want to get into the newest content, the “prestige” of running the raid while its current comes from AotC/CE achievements and obtaining all the transmog sets/mounts/pets the raid drops and getting to use it sooner.
I would rather have raids be kept relevant via mount and pet drops (like BoD) since that’s purely optional and your not forced into it unless your a mount collector.
It’s mainly because the gear is obsolete from those raids, and they offer nothing useful in the form of crafting etc to make it worth revisiting. This is a lesson they can learn from Classic.
I meant this hasn’t existed…stupid phone.
I’d love to watch a normal run or heroic run in LFR with half of the raid group afk auto attacking. lol
There aren’t much incentives to run old raids now. THe personal loot system is forced on you. And with less players needed it just becomes full way more rng then when it was current.
I mean if items could titanforge to current ilvl rewards that would be a good reason to run those old raids even lfr.
Awesome idea, I’d love to have current normal and heroic raid ilvl gear for more steamroll trivial content!
Well I mean if you actually want to raid. Once you beat it once why do it again? Raiding is about doing it at least once right? Before it’s on farm anyway?
Anyway how about at the end of expasion there difficulty gets boost for last patch.
This is how you know a person isn’t worth listening to.
“Anyone that disagrees with me is delusional”
I do think it’s a bit funny that raids are quickly obsolete, yet you can still run the same dungeons that were released at the beginning of the expansion, before any raids were open, and get near best in slot gear, simply because they get updated but the raids don’t.
At the same time, they aren’t releasing 10+ new dungeons every patch cycle. That is why.
Then go raid if you want to raid, the last thing we need is more gear equal to raid gear handed out for even easier work than world quests and warfronts. lol jesus.
They kind of fixed that last expansion with legendary rolls possible off of all content. People would run old raids for legendary chance and mog rolls. Add I to that people were still wanting lucky TF rolls on certain Nighthold trinkets and you had people forming raids for old content.
Biggest issue IMO is the iLvl climb in modern wow. Gear is just nuts with how high the stats climb per raid.
So your saying your fine with just doing the one raid for gear? Instead of mutltipe raid tiers?
No, I’m saying I think you have a horrible idea of giving out gear in old raids that can WF/TF to current ilvls. Literally the worst idea of the week.
Ok my lvl 10 zombie mate. Be happy with your one raid.
I mean, I guess I will, I’d rather have a single raid than even more hand out gear. Sometimes I really think this game isn’t for me anymore when we have so many people screaming the same horrible ideas wanting handouts and more “catch up” mechanics. Why not just ask Blizzard to equalize all gear and have gear not be a thing anymore?
