My take? Update the Saberon model for graphics quality, and to include fe-…oops…I mean, ‘body type 2’, and then introduce them as a neutral playable race for both factions. Done.

What about some nice feline racials for the new cat allies:

Passive:

  • “You are the prey”: 2% crit bonus baseline
  • “Always falls on the feet”: 50% reduced falling dmg

Active:

  • “Hunt for prey”: Restore 30% health by killing a critter, 2min cd
  • “Sneak”: go into stealth while not in combat

Available classes: Druid, Rogue, Monk, Warri, Mage, Warlock, Priest, Shaman

It starts with Cat races. Then they need litter boxes all over Azeroth. Who’s cleaning them? Bliz? Pff. Microsoft is laying people off. So, then what? they go uncleaned? Do we really need all of Azeroth stinking like ammonia and burning our eyes? No.

…And that’s why there are no cat races.

There’s a similar problem in Orgrimmar. With all the Undercity refugees there, the city’s residents are tripping over old and discarded limbs. And that ‘dead body’ you just tripped over? Just sumwun someone napping in the street.

I can’t make sense of it.

Why are they throwing away all those parts??

I scoop up most what I can. It’s crazy useful to have extra hands, and arms, and stuff. Especially if you have a habit of getting blowed up.

So that’s why we need Arakkoa for the Alliance. Because getting bird folks adds a ton of diversity, especially with the options being ‘bird’ and ‘skeksis’

Horde have the arakkoa skeleton in Zandy druids, so Horde can get saberon as their counter as the birds don’t like the cats.

hrothgar could have looked cool in wow but they just look so stupid and absolutely wretched in xiv because of the artstyle

Arrakoa are cool, but all of their motifs fit the Horde so much better. Sun veneration in particular really vibes with both Blood Elves and Tauren. I could see them and the Zandalari getting along quite well.

Sabron came out as a NPC race with WOD in 2014, but there was also the tiger boss from ZG even back in vanilla. My understanding is Hrothgar weren’t in FFXIV until 2019.
