Ulduar was really strong theme-wise specially since back then the game’s cosmology hadn’t been overexplained, it really felt like digging through the remnants of a lost civilization.

Throne of Thunder is in a similar boat

Third is probably Naxxramas. Specially if you play with ambiant sounds on.

I loved Throne of Thunder.

Firelands just struck me as weird because you step into a building and end up in Hell with fire lizards and fire spiders, but I loved that one.

Castle Nathria. I hated SL like the rest of you, but that raid was excellent.

not sure what you mean exactly by theme. but my all time fav raid has to be nighthold

Black Temple, Kara, Blackwing Lair, and BRF were all fantastic raids.

I really liked castle nathria, but I’ve always had a vampire hard on so that’s probably why

ICC for me. Downing Lich King back in Wrath felt like the end of an era and IMO, when the story pretty much ended and things have only gone downhill since.

Ulduar was the best. Cosmic horrors and advanced Titan technology hidden away in the desolate snowy peaks of Northrend. The music and visuals were great. The bosses were fun and being able to activate hard modes without having to change the entire dungeon difficulty was great.

Uldir could have been interesting, but Blizzard screwed up and pretty much gave Alliance almost no context for the place. It was essentially a raid for Horde.

If I had to list one thing I love about BRF, is how Blackhand is yelling when you kill a wing’s main boss, or the iron maidens complaining the trains stopped. The other raids, the bosses always seem too disconnected from one another.

Kara, Black Temple, ICC all classics

Ulduar, hands down.

You can go from a Frozen Cave to a Rainforest to a Robotics Lab in a span of 10 minutes.

That and the fact the music kicks glutius maximus. The bosses are unique and it’s Titan technology mixed in with Old Gods.

My vote is Icecrown Citadel. Very fun raid.
