The worst thing about Vulpera is it stole more alliance players

I’ve been Horde since day one. I switched to Vulpera when I flipped over from playing my Druid.

Also… there really aren’t that many Vulpera characters. Seeing one is a rare sight.

Do you mean Alliance was full of furries and then they moved to Horde, Is that it? And Isn’t that a good thing tho?

Blizzard put all the effort they could into Vulperas, as they liked the breed as much as the players.

Blizzard put all the effort left in the kultirans / junkgnomes, because it was never important if the alliance would benefit from something done just to maintain the numerical balance of 1 race for ally and 1 race for the Horde.

Were not ally’s players satisfied and satisfied?

“The Horde is waiting for you.” :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Have Mercy

I’ll be honest. I’ve seen as many Vulpera as I have Kul Tiran. They don’t seem too popular so far.

The Alliance policy of ‘Burn them’ was how we wound up on your team to begin with.

I see the crappy metrics being used here. Ion isn’t going to admit it’s a problem. He’s horde. He won’t. There is only mythics and raids to do at max level. Horde has it beat. I think he’s counting alliance randos who make accounts and run around goldshire on moongaurd. Guess what? No one cares about them. They do nothing but apparently help Ion feel better about the growing divide in this game.

Here’s a more recent analysis. One of many

One of the blues said it here a year+ ago.

Vulpera should have never been added to the game.

They aren’t cute. They aren’t menacing. They aren’t compelling at all and feel out of place as a playable character.

I don’t really agree. Vulpera are pretty “Classic Horde”. Also that little Vulpera lady from Vol’dun that I can’t remember the name of was pretty vicious and out for blood.

Alliance is only for people who either want to torture themselves or people that have actual irl friends they play with constantly.

Come to an RP server.

Oh my god.
They’re everywhere.

It’s all Blood Elves and Vulpera.

Playing BFA as an Alliance had already been giving me second thoughts enough, but Horde getting Vulpera and Alliance getting diaper babies pretty much sealed the deal that I shouldn’t bother with the blue boys.

Well they did have a lot of work with the kul tirans, as they are the AR that technically took the most work to create as they’re the only AR with a fully new rig. Blizzard themselves said that as they didn’t re-use any assets for them it took as much work as if they would have created the pandaren or any other fully new race. Which was as much work as all the other ARs outside the kul tirans put together.

But I agree that the vulpera got a lot of love and shows that you can create something spectacular with good use of resources.

I mean he’s technically not wrong, as people talked about faction population, which seems to be quite equal.
But when it comes to players actually doing M+, raiding, and rated pvp then there’s a big imbalance, I suppose the people here should have specified what kind of player population you are talked about as it seems you’re not discussing the same one, some are about the overall player base, and one is about the competitive base that does raiding, M+ and rated pvp.

A lot of people mention racials but it’s also not even about the racials anymore, as at least at the moment the alliance ones are slightly better, but as the top-end world first race is now all about hc splits to get gear, etc, then it’s still better to stay horde to have a larger player pool to draw from for the splits. And the more “casual” raiders simply don’t care enough to switch from horde, especially when the Alliance has a smaller recruiting pool.

I don’t think that many alliance players left for Vulpera

weren’t the dark irons at war with the orcs there too?
doubt dark irons would feel comfortable joining an faction run by the enemy that stole a good portion of their city.

People throw out mythics and raids like it’s this exclusive club. It’s what you do at 60. There aren’t enough alliance to do it. There aren’t enough in warmode. There aren’t enough for bgs. Whatever metric blizz is using to say the sides are even are wrong and disingenuous

The original exodus was because of overpowered Horde racials, which was decidedly not community caused. After enough people left Alliance and all the best guilds and arena teams were Horde, due to the racials, then it became self-fulfilling.

When though alliance racials are better in classic and shadowlands.

That was just in Legion during Tomb of Sargeras, a bunch of guild switched to Horde because of the Goblin racials.

Nowadays it’s pretty evenly balanced the racials, but most people that do high end content already went Horde to follow the mythic raiders and now we are left with a faction that mostly just quests and do M+ at around +10s on average.

It can be fixed. Just open up cross faction grouping so people can play whatever race they want regardless of what their friends are playing.
