The worst kind of WoW player

I guess it would be people that blame others for something failing, without really looking at what is the issue. It really saps my energy but at the same time I can feel grateful at least that maybe they are yelling at me instead of others.

I don’t see a reason to keep insulting others in the game if something didn’t work out. It is what it is and saying rude stuff isn’t going to reverse time. I have always seen value in offering suggestions or maybe saying one thing to somebody if it’s needed because it can help others realize they need to improve or maybe there’s something simple they can do to do better.

Not just YOUR BAD SO BAD COME ON at whoever you think is the problem for some reason lol.

I really just imagine these are the type of people who would blame others if they crashed into another car.

I don’t want to be the bringer of doom but when u stick too much to meta and then u decided it is an “all or nothing approach” but only the option, that ruins it for everyone then they complain why they can’t perform to that extent of what they are following and sometimes they blindly think that’s how it should works. it always end in player’ skill.

I had one of those in DoTA 2.

player 1 to a team mate: WHY ARE YOU BUYING THOSE, THAT IS NOT FOR THAT HERO!!! and why your skill build that way???

opposing player: “oh so he’s a meta build”

player 1 to opposing team: u all suck and hacking!

opposing player: u are just an open book, easy to read, easy to counter and easy to manipulate.

other players to someone with weird item combination: ooohh look at that new meta!!!

the cycle repeats.

Probably 15 years ago my buddy and I were riding around, I pointed out some car had a Horde sticker on the back of their car, and my buddy randomly pulls a giant wad of chewing gum out of his mouth and wings it at this dude’s vehicle out of the passenger window. Lol

The worst kind of WoW player is the one who focuses completely on the things they dislike instead of appreciating the things they like.

Nah imo the worst players are those who are new who come in and demand the game change everything for them and crap on all who what it to remain what made wow what it is.

Depending on the character I’m playing, I might find myself included in this group.

For instance, when I’m on my Mag’ Orc, I tend to be very faction-driven and engage in banter with the Alliance. It’s not about belittling anyone (although it may come across that way); rather, it’s about role-playing my orc a bit on the forums.

Regarding cross-faction PvE, I was initially supportive, and in many ways, I still am. Ultimately, I just want to play with friends, regardless of the characters they choose. However, I understand why some people are getting frustrated considering the recent cinematic portraying the idea that the “coalition of magical friendship” can conquer all enemies. I see why people are becoming irritated and pushing back against it. WoW used to be a somewhat darker place, focused on war, and it seems to have lost some of that essence.

On topic, I have two kinds of worst players, one for the forums and one in game.

  • Forums: The player who uses ad hom attacks and hyperbolic arguments to try to prove thier points instead of holding a discussion.
  • In Game: Players who think they are better than everyone and blame any mistakes on everyone but themselves.

Moo!

I’m completely for this approach. I demand a new version of Torghast or Horrific Visions!

Haha. Tbh if it’s for fun cosmetics only I’d be ok with those returning like mage tower did.

brutal raid leaders. power trippers straight up evil.
the ones that enter the voice chat and the whole room changes. belittling the guildies, parses > performance, min max or get the axe type.
the thing is… that pressure made us worse. it was mythic antorus and we couldnt get past war council.
after leaving the guild, the next guild i joined did better and felt better. wipes werent a 10 min of going through everyones mistakes. healed wounds man. straight up.

Awww… :'<
