will blizzard supply beta kets to curseforge or wowinterface addon creators ? we really need beta access to update our addons
Once and I wish I remembered which expansion it was but once a long while ago preordering the expansion guaranteed you got in beta.
Now I imagine that probably was something they regretted doing because they never did it again lol. But that was cool.

Once they gave away the beta to anyone who bought the most expensive expansion pack. That was nice and I thought well-deserved. They’re not even doing that this time. I think the era of lots of beta invites is gone now. The probably don’t need as many beta testers anymore as they got the expansion creation down to a science.
Actually, the reason for betas is less about testing the software and more about sales. It brings absent players back and gives them an incentive to resubscribe. And you can see the numbers. When an alpha or beta is announced, more people subscribe and keep subscribing. It’s all marketing.

Yeah and most of those streamers don’t actually like the game…way to go Blizz for not giving keys to people who actually enjoy the game and like to play 
Or to people who have been with this game since it’s original beta…that’s like 18/19 years now…yeeeup

Agreed, I’ve tried few streams/twitter competitions for beta and then just came to conslusion it’s ridiculous. Why make a lottery out of it.

Have had a subscription since early 2005, only un-subbing for a 3-4 month period during MoP. Still play the game fairly regularly, though maybe less than in BFA. Clicked the join beta button soon after it was up. Have already pre-ordered Dragonflight. Yet, no beta invite here. I am fairly certain that I’ve been in all previous alphas/betas, so I guess my luck has finally run out.
