The Work from Home Solution

The solution is let people work from home

Our sales and profits have gone up double digits every year since WFH started, because we’re able to maintain a massively higher output due to the higher productivity.

Every time RTO comes up, I say okay, we could do that, but you need to be ready to cut revenue forecasts almost in half, because we cannot maintain this increased level of productivity working in the office.

How about Blizzard let people work from home, something that worked fine for the past almost 3 years?

Managers/execs who force RTO are just authoritarian pencil pushing middlemen who have gone power hungry with the smallest amount of power.

Weasels.

They also have no reason to exist unless they stand around “managing” people who don’t need to be managed.

American corporations could do with a good round of cutting the fat. By which I mean middle management who contribute nothing.

I think we are far too involved with blizzards business concerns

Agreed.

And in Blizzard’s case WFH might not be best. I remember when they were saying during the pandemic that it was impacting their release schedule.

Which was REALLY WEIRD because every other publisher was having no trouble getting out releases on schedule during the pandemic.

It was strange that Blizzard was having issues. I blame bad management, actually.

mind your own business and keep subscribing to wow little paypig. your money will go to bobby’s new jet

Ultimately just gotto wait for 2-3 years and see what happens. The impact of policies like these won’t be felt until later.

This is me every time somebody pokes their head in my office, on days when I am in the office.

I just don’t get anything done in the office, it’s too noisy, too many interruptions.

I do not care about solving Blizzard’s work from home controversy for them and I think it would be healthy for many other people to care less about it as well.

You are customers, not their corporate boss, direct supervisor, or even parent. It’s going to be alright and in a few years you will have forgotten it ever even happened.

They are doing their jobs. Thanks to a little pandemic the world has proven WFH/hybrid WFH can work.

And Blizzard employees are leaving because they feel they can either find a different job with better pay/better benefit like the aformentioned WFH.

You’re aware that that’s not a cheap thing to do right? And something like that will take years to develop. Also I don’t know about you but i rather not have a co-workers as my neighbors as well

You guys have a lot of time to solve blizzard’s problems for free.

I use my free time more productively like making pop culture references from the late eighties and early nineties.

It’s only a problem because they (and other companies) made it one

And that’s fine but our opinions not gonna change their policies.

The “problem” is that the rich want their servants to offer foot traffic.

Like around WoW HQ there’s a lot of construction and new places, to waste money, being propped up. They were propped up on the notion that there would be no WFH and that there would be much more foot traffic to attract to their businesses.

WFH gets in the way of that which, in turn, hurts those businesses and causes property values to fall. This angers the Banks and Investors (and property flippers and renters).

That, and control.

Those are the main reasons driving RTO. Power and Greed.
