Perhaps a variant of the shackles. Unlike the other Pyrewood villagers, Berard didn’t change with the day/night cycle.
Only in cases in which the newer lore overwrites the old.
But so far, there isn’t actually any source that says undead can’t turn to worgen. Only assumptions based on not seeing it in game.
Possibly, such as the case with Berard as he was stuck in Worgen, the Worgen overwrites the death curse and just transforms the human flesh but causes them to get stuck in Worgen form, as it’s not possible to return to another form.
Anyone have a Classic account to go check?
The Worgen don’t change back when you kill them. Their natural state is Worgen the human bit is basically a mask.
And while it’s within the realms of possibility that an undead could conceivably become a worgen, because this is magic and there aren’t any actual rules, it’s strange that the humans having to pick Worgen or undead was a plot point.
“You’re being drafted into the Halloween War. It’s team Edward or Jacob. Either way you’re getting claws so get used to picking your nose with exceptional care”
But it wasn’t though. That’s inferred by the player base but it really wasn’t a choice presented in game/story. The closest choice to that was either become worgen or die at the hands of the Forsaken and be raised into undeath, or die rather then being an aberration. The “choice” to being undead was never on the table.
Okay semantics police. Point is the end result was be a worgen or be undead. I don’t think you can be both unless a very powerful entity like the Lich King has a hand in it.
Circling back to this, Some worgen do. Some of the worgen in Pyrewood will revert back to human when killed. Some do. Some do not.
Not really. It only begs the question of which is stronger and overwrites the other.
Or how they even work, for that matter. Worgen is a curse on the soul and undead have souls. So, if an undead’s soul is cursed to be a worgen, there’s no reason the curse wouldn’t still transform the body, or who even says the worgen body even IS the same as the human/forsaken body?
Undeath also effects the soul, though. We see ghostly Forsaken and Worgen souls in the Shadowlands. So I don’t think you can be both.
Arthas makes Worgen DKs of course. But DKs and the undead PC race aren’t the same thing.
We also see Human and Worgen souls in the Shadowlands.
It’s not a question of being “both” as much as which souls are now.
A Worgen who was Forsaken was once Human. It’s no difference then a Worgen who was previously human, just with one more additional step in between.
Seeing as we are talking about ridiculous magical BS I guess that’s within the realm of possibilities.
But if Worgen could turn undead into now living werewolves you think that’d be an advantage they’d exploit. Threatening to turn Crowley’s daughter undead would ring kind of hollow if he could counter with
“Eh I’ll just give her a shot of Worgen blood later then”.
Begs the question “are worgen truely alive,” anymore then Forsaken are truly dead.
Curses are tricky like that.
Well, except Crowley’s whole thing was he was trying to spare her from either fate.
Also we don’t know if Forsaken can be turned the same way as Humans. I mean, would the blood method work in a being that has a non-functioning circulatory system?
Well I can tell you from personal experience the Forsaken can eat them without incident. So probably not.
False, high elves descend of night elves and there are half elves, so in the unlikely scenario that the high elves were a mutation that coincidentially allowed cross over with the human genotype there is commonality enough to make halfbreed offspring.
Now the rest of your post is… i would agree but we would need evidence of an orc or draenei worgen because if it can infect nelves we could say it can jump to trolls, although i would consider it most likely, it wouldnt surprise me it could easly infect most races in azeroth.

vulpera worgen.
Ewww…
Worgen are like, all muscle. The meat must be tough and stringy. You’d probably have to overcook that to the point it’d lose all flavor just to chew it without breaking off your jaw.
You can make soup with that, minced meat, you can make sausages.
I always imagined Dwarf would be like the prime cut. Good muscle to fat ratio like a nice marbled steak.
Also well marinated in a spectacular variety of ales and mead. Takes a lot of the work out of it. Probably also an excellent source of vitamins and minerals.
I actually have first hand experience in the matter and based on it, I can confirm that Forsaken can very commonly be found eating lead.
I’d like to give you an informed opinion on Dwarf diets. But as I only ever run into humans and velves with Caucasian skin tones these days I’ll have to wait till I have better data.
Now now, don’t go off making wild opinions on dwarven diets.
We all know they exclusively dine on rocks.
