Please finish respecting the player behind the keyboard. Don’t nitpick about what achievements should or should not be character-specific. The same player is doing everything. Respect that.

With regards to warband-wide reputations, and the warband bank, I was hoping for something more along the lines of the Legacy-wide reputations and materials inventory used in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Both are superior to what is described in this preview.

I love most of this but still really want to push for Tier sets being obtainable warbound wide please please please. It’s great to mean we dont have to run old raids on every armour type, but ends up a bit meaningless when we still need to do it by class

for old raids and solo stuff like that I don’t see a problem
I vendored/deleted more tier tokens for every other class than I have gotten for my clothie.
I’ve come very close to getting full tier sets of plate when running my clothie thru old raids.

Absolutely loving these Warband features, the changes to Reputation are so good! I’m really excited to have Achievements be account-wide, honestly I can’t express how happy I am for these changes overall.

As a complete altoholic, I am seriously excited for this feature for so many reasons.
And, even though I have always mained a human because of the rep bonus, I’m pleased it’s being removed - this literally levels the playing field when it come to deciding which avatar I choose to adventure with at the beginning of new content.
I’ll look forward to having the older expansions’ achievements integrated over time as well, although I understand that’s a big ask right out of the gate.

ummm I only have one character my warband will be pretty empty… I cannot play more than two char I have tried it and always get confused…why do people play alts .?? I really never understood the concept
I started playing alts so I could experience each class and race, and then I wanted to level all the professions. I have at least one of everything now but I stick with one or two at the start of an expansion, then level the others slowly as time goes on.

Do you mean 3 separate bnet accounts all with different logins, or 1 bnet account with 3 licenses (wow1, wow2 and wow3)?

It’s great that you’re finally making reputation and achievements account-wide. It should have been done years ago. However, I don’t see why the reputation you earned on various characters shouldn’t be added to each other, and why story quests should only give reputation the first time you do them. You keep saying that you don’t want people with alts to have an advantage over people who play only one character, but it seems like you’ve created a system more the other way around, where playing a single character gives someone a huge advantage over playing alts. For some of us doing the story campaign multiple times would be a more fun way to earn reputation than doing world quests &c (or at least it would be if the story writing in Dragonflight weren’t so bad).

I like that you’re making currency transferable between characters. I’m not really sure why you think shared currency would be confusing though, and making us pay a tax for transferring certain currencies is terrible and pointless. I really hope the timewalking tokens and the curious coins from Legion won’t fall into that category. I also hope there’s some way to view how much of each type of currency each character has.

An account-wide bank is also a much needed change that should have happened years ago. However the implementation leaves a lot to be desired. As I said in the other thread, basic QoL features like this should be easily accessible to everyone and not cost millions of gold. Furthermore, there really ought to be a limitless account-wide reagent bank.

Allowing us to collect transmog appearances for other armor types is a great change and will make farming old raids and dungeons a lot easier. If only this could be retroactive!

I like the idea of being able to see my characters side by side on the character select screen, but I hope you will keep the current character select screens available too. The way it is now makes it very easy to take a screenshot of your character, and I also really like the flavor of the racial backgrounds. If the screen only shows your chosen four characters, then you won’t be able to see or take screenshots of the others at all.

Couple things…
Respecting the player is great and all. Taking away the benefit of Diplomacy though is punishing to those of us who’ve intentionally run a human specifically for the bonus, eschewing things like +crit or fear immunity in favor of it. You’re not respecting the player and their time in that regard.
The other - I have great trepidation about the bag part about the bank rework. Shifting bag slots to tabs for the bank - we have like eight bag slots each with a current max slot size of 36. Will we get eight tabs of 36 or fewer of greater quantity (like 4 of 72), will they grow over time like the trend has been for bigger bags to be crafted? Will those tabs come at a cost beyond the current per-slot cost in the bank? Will we need an addon just to see the contents of every tab whereas today we can see every bag at the same time in the base UI?

So is there any point in playing a character that is not in yuor warband? Or is the login screen selection cosmetic only? Do all characters get access to warband stuff or only the 4 characters? So any time you wanted to play with 5+ characters you’d have to keep swapping them out? Or am i misunderstanding this?
Nobody wants to fly an alt of each class to old raids for the tier sets; you must dramatically improve the tier set acquisition or the whole collect-transmogs-this-character-can’t-use thing is almost pointless.

Sure, but knowing at the login screen would be SO much better.
