I made a new character a few days ago, and started The War Within recap from the tome in Valdrakken at level 64. Unfortunately, it appears that the quest is completely broken - I can teleport into Dalaran during the “Breach” quest, but no matter how many things I kill or civilians I save, the quest never gives me credit for any of it.
I’ve tried restarting the game and exiting and re-entering the tome’s lorewalking, it’s still broken.
Same. It won’t let me save citizens or kill nuerbians and progress at all

Glad I am not the only one experiencing this.
Also experiencing this on my Monk even though it worked perfectly fine previously on other characters.
Also experiencing this - made a new character and saw I can pick the Lorewalking War Within option so wanted to give that a spin , I am getting no quest credit on saving citizens and all the mobs are level ?? and kill me in 1-2 hits.
Im having the same issue. Anyone find a work around or word if Blizzard has a fix planned?

Solved! I think I figure it out! I think you have to be level 70+ to have the quest recognise your progress. I tried at 65, 37 (with the ?? mobs), 67 and now at level 71 it works! I noticed that everyone who was running around the zone, mobs and players alike, were 70 plus and figured I’d give it another go at 70.

It’s 3 weeks later and I’m still having this issue. Did anyone figure it out or receive help from Blizz?
I’ve tried relogging, restarting the game, exiting the lorewalking and coming back, and I’ve tried restarting the whole thing over by exiting lorewalking and clicking “start over” on the book, back in town.
I keep getting stuck on the same part, not having any nerubian kills or citizens calmed tracked as progress on the quest named “Breach”.
Edit: I’ve tried it on another character and all the monsters are ?? level and kill me in a second or two.
