They’ll send invites out in waves. You may not get invited, or it may take awhile to get an invite, but you do not need to pre-order for a chance at the beta.
IIRC, everyone and their dog got DF Beta Access just by opting in.

But yeah it kind of means that. Lets be real, they’re not going to be keen on sending out for-free invites when the alternative is people paying $90. And people will pay $90
Imagine paying for Epic Edition to beta test the expansion in advance and spoiling all the surprises and discovering on top of it too.
It’s like paying to watch a trailer for a movie you really want to see in full but it’s basically the whole movie.

Oh, I understood what you meant. And in many ways, I agree that playing beta can just wear you out before the launch has even happened.
I just saw a golden opportunity with your comparison. 
The 3 days early access is 3 days before launch not 3 days early in beta.

If we pre-ordered the collectors edition how do we get access to beta?
I don’t know why everyone always wants beta access because if you play beta then you’re just gonna get bored with the content faster when it goes live because you’ve already done it!

Now it’s basically becoming the norm to pay for ‘early’ access, or well beta access and with that so many people opting-in, you’re losing that new expansion newness when going into dungeons when everyone already has the optimal MDI strategies developed in beta programmed into their frontal lobes when doing just the leveling dungeons.

I don’t why because i don’t play all the way thru been in 1 alpha and 5 beta . I try out all class that i have and see i can find out bugs in said classes.
I miss the supermarket called Alpha Beta, they had cool shopping carts.

When it goes live on Wednesday, open up battle.net and go to World of Warcraft, above the “play” button there are two drop downs. The one on the top is for game version, click that one, and there will be an option under “In Development” that will say “The War Within Beta.”
If you’re referring to the physical edition, you have to wait for it to be mailed to you. Probably within a month of the expansion going live.
