If they’re in the beta client that means they have beta access, it simply doesn’t show up in the launcher list if you don’t have access
It’s not. It’s happening to a lot of people. Technically beta access is currently on shakey ground and the servers are rejecting people’s credentials/not showing up. etc. It’s all related to the flood gate of wow nerds trying to access it.

So for I have to say, this is probably the worst Beta launch I’ve experienced. Maybe WoTLK was worse with all the phasing tech, but this one is high on the list.
Now it says I have an invalid license…erg.

Yes. Im in the beta client. I think it’s just the first of many things that will come up in the beta process.

I don´t mind that tbh. it´s not like I must gain access, I am just interested in the entire Warband stuff and the solo dungeons, to make up my mind if I should buy the expansion or not.
That being said, more veteran is hardly possible, I was even in the Alpha of the original WOW, but with a different account.

I was able to login, make an Earthen, and copy over my live characters. I had just signed a guild charter in Stormwind when the servers restarted 10-15 mins ago. Now that they’re live, I’m getting the "Access to this realm requires an account with a valid access license. (WOW51900337)
error as soon as I hit the realmlist. Hopefully this helps and gets resolved soon.

Yeah, depending on how long this goes on, my plan is to just go to bed early and hope to get in tomorrow.
Even if we do get it today the lag will most likely be overwhelming with so many people.

Man, the Alpha character stances were so cool and heroic. I wish they were still an option. Also, Ironforge and Undercity in the WoW Alpha were massive!
