You’re giving them waaay too much credit.
Please remove yourself from Cloud Cuckoo Land.
Shadowlands is fine. If they don’t screw up something royally in 9.1 or 9.2… I think it’ll be remembered in the top half of the expansions.
But I’ve noticed they’ve developed a pattern over the last 12 years:
Release a good expac, get cocky/overconfident/cut corners, release a crappy one, get scared for their jobs, invest extra, release a good expac… and repeat.
Next expac will probably be another Alliance vs. Horde Faction-Driven Monstrosity that recycles all the systems from SL, making them worse for the sake of change.
How is this so ? WE are only in the first month of the expansion and if anything the most successful WoW expansion to date by most opinions and the fact it was when WoW had it’s highest number of players would be Wrath of the Lich King.
Initial sales do not constitute over all success of a game or an expansion . They just reflect primary sales .
Old Blizzard has been finished for years and they haven’t made a great game since they squandered the potential Overwatch had in favor of chasing the e-sport crowd
GD has been a cesspool of complaints for the past 16 years.
Blizz has more sources for feedback then just these forums and it’s known that they don’t take comments on these forums all the seriously to begin with.
Despite what you think, Blizz does have a problem with player retention. Every new expansion Blizz will boast about how tons of players have come back and their sub numbers are the biggest theyve been in forever, then a few months later 75% of those players have all left the game again.
Point being, if history repeats itself like it usually does, the majority of people currently playing right now aren’t going to be happy enough with Shadowlands to stick around for the long run.
Personally, I like the game, there’s never been an expansion I haven’t enjoyed, but I don’t consider myself a normal person lol, I’m a freak that’s been playing this game off and on for 15 years and it’s the only video game I ever play.
there are white knights on every forum… its not game specific… people happy with the game rarely come on and start a positive post…
sure some come on to defend a game, (even i have a game i have been called a forum white knight in)
but some come on here talking like they have a direct line from the devs and talking all kinds of BS about how great it is and how perfect and the great majority who loves this or that… and never any proof…
and then calling out skills or “alt poster”
the forum is for complaints and feedback…
good or bad… just don’t post if you can’t handle the reactions…
