I’m happy they came back, because I’ve was on a long hiatus and never got to do em…so now I can experience them (as an Old God fanatic it’s right up my alley) I get a fun enchantment (that takes no time to get), decent Transmog and a plethora of Mounts to collect. Oh and I enjoy running them. Legit the only complaints I have is I hate the Leaden Foot in the Mage section paired with near endless adds to trigger it and I hate the tentacles that go underground and break target/focus.
Soooooo yeah, there’s folks who enjoy em. If ya don’t, great, you can skip it and ignore it all. Feel compelled to get the enchantment? Can get it in 1-2 days easily.

I’m just here to complain about the drop rates… it seems they’ve been nerfed. I can’t get the items to drop from the end chests for anything this time around. Did all 5 bosses with no mask, did a sub boss with a mask then thrall but no items… what gives?

Commenting to come back later. Busy til tomorrow night and want to take a stab at it.
The enchants have text on them saying they are fleeting and only work for season 2.
I don’t mind the visions though, but man is zero mask super undertuned. Like stuff just melts. I went from running in to nuke Alleria to clearing 1 area to 4 areas. Got close to a full clear done but I only gave it a handful of tries so I didn’t succeed. From what I remember there was a lot more progression just to get through 0 masks before even attempting those.
Assuming you ran it on this character? You have a higher ilvl that trounces 0masks. I started tbe event initially at like 557 and while my Chaosbolt melted regular enemies, my other spells and the elites and Bosses were a bit tough until I got geared up and hourglass talents. So 0 Mask Revisited is def meant to be accessed and open for almost anyone to hop in.
Is that from talents, tributes, and innate resistance from clearing Orgrimmar objectives? Or does this include anything cumulative from Stormwind-specific objectives? (In other words, if I did absolutely nothing last week, can I still grind towards the 80% resistance this week?)
i got the purple bike today, worked fine for me.
Well it ain’t for me.
Finished the exhaust last week, and it’s still tagged on mine, so I just don’t get a bike.
Already posts about it in bug report forums.

Yes, each week (Im assuming it’ll happen each week) your City resistance bonus FROM the city resets, but your Hourglass talent resistance stays. So just clear each area (you can do one per run) and you’ll have the 80% again

Thanks for the info! I guess the individual city resistances might persist, but we won’t know for sure until next week when we get Stormwind again.
Yeah for sure! My hunch is that they’ll reset with the idea that getting more Hourglass talents and possibly gearing up more will allow for faster and stronger clears, so that one or two runs will get ya back to speed upon reset!
Or just stop making gimmick armor pieces that are so OP we’re forced to get them. I hate armor pieces that can’t be replaced until mythic level of the next season…

I think visions are fine for cosmetic farming, but they really didn’t think the catch up gearing aspect through at all. You have to do 4 masks to get hero track gear and by the time you can comfortably farm 4 masks, you probably don’t really need that gear anymore.
If the content was there from the start you could slowly progress through different gear tracks with it, but there’s no point in making it that way and releasing it at the end of a tier.
Maybe once fully talented a lower geared alt might be able to farm 4 masks reasonably well, but again that was a pointlessly time-gated catch up system at the end of a tier.
They also added these books to make gear drops warbound, but those only go up to the champion track gear so you can’t farm hero track warbound gear. Again, a system that would have made sense if it was there from the start of the season, but seems bizzarely pointless so late in the season.

The time gatting, and stagering relises of patches had been trash this season, they keep giving events that drop veteran and make you work for champ gear when most people are solid heroic or 3/4 mythic minimum by now. Makes all this new content worthless and low drive for anyone wanting to do them. Loot needs to be champ base level heroic work for or heroic and 1 mythic a week something worth peoples time. Most guilds cleared normal and heroic months ago and are either working way through mythic raid slowly or done for season. Pffering vet get makes no one want to come back, its not even an alt incentive at this low of gear. Its either grind myhic 10s, or lack the numbers for mythic raid but the loot doesnt cross over. If you have bad vault luck you’re screwed. Either way horrible gating and launch tactics this season on top of horrific balance.

It wasn’t even that fun when it was new except that is was tied to a legendary that was tied to the raid that was tied to an extremely fun corruption system.
This is just…useless filler.

eh the enchant can be pretty much farmed out in like 20 mins tops, don’t even need a mask to get them.
It does.
Once you clear an area, you permanently gain 10% sanity drain resistance for that city. So if you did all five areas of stormwind last week, next week you’ll have 50% zone resistance + whatever you have unlocked in the hourglass (should be able to unlock 40% from there immediately next week for a total of 90%).

They’re just a grind. I’ll be done next week when I buy the 40k mount and get the panther crafted and won’t touch them again.
Hopefully it doesn’t but at least it’s easily regained with a single 4 objective clear.
I couldn’t agree more.
It is likely because I’ve had a week, but after making sure I had the greater enchant and today’s raid night I’m very done with WoW for today also.
