But but…the content is its own reward!
Same dungeons as day 1. Maybe the chamberlain will say new lines this run?
And…no he did not. Okay run 3454, this time for sure.

Word for the wise, you use the valor on vault pieces and just gradually accumulate your BiS over time. By the time 9.2.5 you should have the valor needed to upgrade everything and have BiS
I mean you can disagree all you want but the masses gear through mythic+.
Anyone that raids also does mythic+ For the easy strong gear.
Anyone that does PvP also does mythic+ for the easy strong gear.
It’s just too low of hanging fruit.
Like right, hundreds of thousands of players are getting 278 from mythic+ and almost 0 from the raid.
They even explicitly said when valor came out it was for people who could only get gear from the vault (aka they already had full +15 end of dungeon gear). Players took that to mean they should fish +2s and pump them to max.
The weekly conquest and valor cap is there for a reason or you would be finding players already at ‘max’ iLVL for their respective content.
Than raiding would be a walk in the park, players who PVP would be stomping those who have less time, it just wouldn’t be fair to everyone just because you have 12 hours a day to play and someone else can only jump on for an hour outside raiding.
I get it, I want the caps removed, but it will never happen, back in the dark ages players would gear up to the highest they could and complete entire raids within a week of release and than complain there is nothing to do, at least this way it feels like there are more players online.
No, it is not. Its to prevent people from going full ilvl 270+ in 1 week.
The cap isn’t what I take issue with…it’s the amount of the cap. Saving valor for 1 month and only being able to upgrade a weapon 3 times is silly.
Yeh the weapon upgrade cost is insane. I got a 245? iLVL weapon and to upgrade from level 4 to 8 or 9 was going to cost me 5000 valor. Thankfully I got a 275 in my vault, I was never going to spend 5K valor, that would have taken me 7 weeks and than some when I got more rank.
Fun fact I learned today., if you’re maxed out from doing M+ you don’t get any valor from doing calling quests.
Can’t be getting that gear too fast
Daddy blizz is always watching
True - can’t gear up more than one spec otherwise you get called out for trying to get 275+ week 1 and an elitist.
Agree with Valor Cap being 2,3,4 times as high and would not drastically affect progression. The thing that is odd to me is there are multiple gates (valor cap, rating, upgrade cost) that exist now. Whatever affect you are going for in reduction of upgrades could be accomplished with one of the other gates. For example, if you had no valor cap, you could increase the upgrade costs on items, or put upgrades on a higher rating requirement. The Valor cap just seems to add another redundant gate.
