What we should do is make a consensus even if its unofficial on what a majority of players in threads like this are asking for in terms of playable ogres , there’s a very long list for the male ogre that’s already there the main one I’m talking about is what everyone is expecting the female ogre to look like. My honest take is it should be the female equivalent of what it’s based on but with a female version of the known strongman build not necessarily all the way fat but not all muscle either and roughly be as tall if not a few inches to a foot or taller than female zandalari and female tauren, Heavyweight female strongman build for ogre female is my take on it they can alter or change how it looks based on how blizzard designs things but still I’d just like an actual Poll here for the actual things people are asking for
I’ve suggested using the “dire bloodtroll” model as a base to build a female ogre off of, and the height should be pretty much what we’re asking for with the males, about an inch taller than the tauren playable equivalent.
There are female Ogres in Hearthstone, which would be the perfect reference point in creating female Ogre models.
Dark Horde information from the Arator storyline from the wiki.
Summary
-
The Dark Horde Ogres, as a whole, are led by Mar’kag.
-
Eitrigg lamented Mar’kag’s death, noting that he wasn’t dishonorable–just blindly devoted to the Dark Horde cause.
-
The Dark Horde as a whole is led by Warlord Grazla.
-
Following Grazla’s death, along with the others, it is said many more fled the area. With Danath hoping that they never return.
I wonder if that means the Ogres were amongst those who fled and if they could end up finding a new home, a new cause. Like say one under the banner of the Horde.
Too bad the devs don’t care about the lore. We’re more likely to get another variant of Draenei, gnomes, humans, or most likely another version of night elves in the Horde, rather than an actual core Horde race.
We now have a list of November’s Trading Post catalogue:
The monthly reward is this near turkey mount:
Nothing Ogre related this month, but I am tempted to get some of the giant utensils on there. Something about seeing an Ogre with a giant steak knife just seems right and fitting.
Also, I’m imagining an Ogre riding around on one of those turkey mounts. Possibly dressed in one of the Pilgrim’s Bounty transmog sets. Hopefully I’ll be able to do that someday if Ogres ever become playable.
Anyway, I’ll continue to keep an eye on future Trading Post catalogues in case anything Ogre related or of Ogre interest pops up on there. ![]()

Ogre enhancement shaman duel wielding a knife and fork has very Quina vibes, not to mention the Warhammer Fantasy vibes.
Happy Halloween All ![]()
Hope all my fellow Ogre enthusiasts have a safe and spooky day.
Happy Halloween y’all! ![]()
I tried to find some Ogre related stuff to share for the holiday, though it is a bit hard to find stuff. So I did take a fun screenshot:
An Ogre father teach their son about Hallow’s End and getting them ready for some Trick of Treating! Very heart warming, isn’t it?
I also took the screenshots from part 1 of this megathread showing the Hallow’s End decorations in the Horde Ogre areas and put them here:
Always good to see the Horde Ogre clans get to celebrate holidays!
And this is a song I’ve linked about every year:
Whatever plans y’all have today, I hope you have a fun, happy, and safe Halloween! ![]()

So a little bit of advice: If you see an Ogre walking around with a fork and giant knife, I’d recommend staying out of their way.
Also, I like the flavor text for the steak knife:
“The perfect steak knife in the hands of an Ogre, or a mighty blade in the hands of an Orc.”
I’m having a little too much fun with these utensils. ![]()

I suppose a trident would make a good fork for the moment.
I was thinking about it, if ogres are coming its going to be after the void saga.
So you think they could come after the World Soul Saga is concluded? That is a possibility, though it since Ogres are a Titan related race having them become playable in The Last Titan would be fitting.
They are titan mutant babies, not direct creations.
It’s a good thing we got those utensils on the Trading Post because Pilgrim’s Bounty is coming up soon! While you’re planning on what to cook up, it’s a great time to serve another round of in-game suggestions of races we want to see playable! Ogres included, of course!
With the beginning of each month, I make in-game suggestions for each race I want to see playable along with a mention of their respective megathreads on these forums. While it is far from a guarantee of seeing our dreams come true, I do think every little bit helps, and doing it monthly I feel is reasonable and not that intrusive or annoying.
If you’re interested in doing the same for races you want to see playable, I made a little guide on how to do so in-game here:
Hopefully Ogres will be able to enjoy all the delicious foods in Pilgrim’s Bounty someday!

I know, which is why I said Titan related over Titan created.
In thinking of Ogre height, I was reminded of how Bagzak shared how the Brewfest Ogres were playable height and then my own SS of how the Brackenwall Guards were taller than Zandalari/Tauren height (seen at the end).
Now something that I’m curious on, with playable Ogres would you want the Stonemaul clan (or which ever clans are apart of a playable Ogre set up) as a whole to be reduced to that playable race height or for them to have different sized Ogres in the clan. I personally think they should retain various heights, as Ogres do, with playable Ogre height being amongst the NPCs.
I think playable height ogres do need to be sprinkled among all the neutral to friendly ogre outposts in the game at that point. It’s funny to think of how they kept making ogres bigger and bigger and bigger throughout vanilla, going to BC Outland ogres being absolutely ridiculous before they finally scaled back JUST a bit.
At least the inn keeper with the Stonemaul is roughly the height we’d want, even if the title that one’s got is “little”, it’s only little compared to the others in the village. Heck, I’m sure some people would complain playable ogres are “too small”, but for most of us, these ogres are still going to be bigger than every other playable race in the game, and isn’t that enough? The goblins, gnomes, and foxes will certainly be satisfied at how damned gigantic they are.
I bought all the cute kitchen utensils and the pot of stew and knife/fork marked shield. I didn’t really care about the pilgrim’s outfit because what I really want is a “witch hunter” version of that outfit.
Races I’d like to see besides ogres? Forest Trolls (which are a distinct possibility), Broken/Krokul, Wildhammer dwarves (they’re supposed to be taller and leaner with their own distinct culture, think the flying guys from Flash Gordon but borrowing wings from their animal companions). I’ve never been pushing for Naga as playable personally, but if a two legged variety of them were cooked up, I could go for it. High elves aren’t the worst idea in the world either, though it’s acceptable to provide some flavor for the void elves to adjust that racial and just play a void elf AS one of them, which is something that didn’t really work for me when it came to tossing in a few tattoos and saying “play an ironforge as a wildhammer”. I don’t mind the bulky Kul Tiran, because that’s exactly how they looked in character portraits back in WC2, but allowing greater body type choices since they also introduced skinny little toothpick humies wouldn’t be a bad idea there. Oh yes, Arathi. Yes, they have a little “pointy ear” option for the three types of humies we already got, but I mean a full on “half elf” race. If we’re getting troll/elf hybrids (more like a missing link), we can get half-elves fully realized.
For what it’s worth, I’ve almost never found a new race a bad thing. I actually like the haranir, since that common ancestry between trolls and elves has been hinted at since Warcraft III. They’re the most insular race YET, so explaining how a large number of them broke away to join one of two factions they only JUST met is going to take some doing, but it’s not impossible. Just… wow talk about giving yourself a writing challenge with that restriction.
Well, I can think of one race that to this day don’t make sense as a standalone group, and that’s “Lightforged Draenai”. I’m sorry, but Draenai are already dipped in glorious golden light. It’s their racial! There’s no real significant visual difference either. Some markings that could have been available extras for the “base” version. It’s funny to me that draenai who’s only difference between the ones on Azeroth are that they split up their caravans a while back are considered a bigger change than draenei that were filled with fel energy for 10,000 years straight, which apparently only qualify as a skin option. That said, their very existence as an allied race pretty much removes any argument against high elves being a distinct race.
