Lol, so true.
Void elves are Alliance blood elves.
So they are a decade older with a few battle scars? So are Blood Elves.
Iâll refer you to my earlier comment, regarding Kul Tiran and Nightborne, which you clearly didnât understand. Just read it over a few times, until you get it.
Do you know why Nightborne are the only playable elves who utilize the transliteration of their own demonym, instead of the more common colloquialisms used for Night Elf, Blood Elf, Void Elf, or Blood Elf? (Hint: When you learn the answer to this, youâll realize how foolish your position actually is.)
Flagging literally has an option for posts which are trolling. This poster admits that the Silver Covenant exists, that it has something that arenât Blood Elves in it, but that High Elves donât exist.
That is the epitome of trolling.
No, they are the ones that rejected Kaelâthasâ new path. People are not drones that blindly obey their leader. Those who rejected Kael remained high elves.
that makes no sense. just because they didnt sever their ties with the alliance and go back to quelthalas doesnt mean they rejected the new path of the elves. rejecting what their people back home saying would be like saying you dont care 90% of your people back home just died and the source that connected all of you(the sunwell) is no more
Who have been altered to be sufficiently different from Blood Elves. High Elves do not meet that criteria, which is why we were given Void Elves.

They were painted blue, you mean.

What youâre basically suggesting is that British people donât exist, instead theyâre just Americans that didnât agree with or align themselves with the 13 colonies. Silly, and you should feel silly for suggesting it.

you mention the 13 colonies so youre referencing a period in our past in which we would actually be considered europeans. the âamericansâ were the natives
What criteria?
Void Elves behave like Blood Elves, they dress like Blood Elves using purple instead of red, they positions and thoughts mirror the Blood Elves but in the Alliance side, they bring Blood Elf fantasy of exploring dangerous forms of power to assure their survival and help their allies, the Void is the only real difference, and it wasnât really that much explored.
That response is why youâre not being taken seriously.
I would recommend that anybody meaning to engage in any real talking point simply elect to ignore all of your commentary, going forward. I know I mean to.
Yes, the void is the difference, and thatâs the point. And the void is being explored, just look at what they are doing in the war campaign.
We have a group of Elves that after facing dire times (destruction of the Sunwell/Exile from Silvermoon) decides to wander, trying to find something that that could ensure their survival and provide them great powers (Fel/Shadow). In their worst moments, a savior comes to them (Illidan/Alleria) offering ways to deal with those powers (use fel to sate magic addiction/controlling the whispers).
They leave their old allegiances (Alliance of Lordaeron/Horde) and seek out new allies (Horde/Alliance) that offer them protection, and decide to show their powers to them and prove their loyalties.
High Elf story in the Alliance is something different, and we had it on most of WoW lifetime. Saying that the Void Elves bring something new to the story while the High Elves goes against the lore itself is absurd.

So the Void Elves being inculcated with the Void, while the Blood Elves are infused with the Light, âis the differenceâ.
Why, then, would the High Elves not qualify as different seeing as theyâre not overly invested in either the Void or the Light? A curious position that definitely warrants some sort of sloppy explanation from you, I think.
Im an Alliance high elf
/wave
If the void is the difference, then why canât we make a void elf that looks like Alleria?
And yet Blizzard gave us Void Elves instead of High Elves. What does that tell you?
That they havenât added High Elves yet.
Im an Alliance high elf
/wave
im a horde high elf
/wave
well we call ourselves Blood elves now, whatevs
And weâve made a thread to ask Blizzard to do it.
So unpredictable.
Void Elves bring more to the Alliance then High Elves do. A race that uses dark and dangerous magic over yet another group of goody two shoes? Yes please.
