The Unofficial High Elf Discussion Megathread

What is the established lore reason for High Elves having a completely different appearance from Blood Elves?

You aren’t considering why Blizzard didn’t give them to us.

And you keep pretending that making High Elves in game having vastly different eye colors, different skin tones, tattoos and arcane markings wouldn’t make them look different from the Blood Elves, you clashed on your own argument.

If they didn’t care, then this thread wouldn’t exist because they would all be happily playing their Blood Elf characters.

I am considering it, yes, and it’s plain stubbornness.

Different eye, hair, and skin tones? You just described Void Elves.

Exactly, if people here wanted to play Blood Elves, they would simply do, last time i checked Blood Elves are a playable race, are you trying to distort our intentions or pretend that you have mind reading abilities?

it has nothing to do with fel koolaid

“We must put this misery behind us. We must enter a new chapter! And so I say to you that, as of this day, we are no longer high elves! In honor of the blood that was shed throughout this kingdom, in honor of the sacrifices of our brothers and sisters, our parents, and our children, in honor of Anasterian… as of this day we will take the name of our royal lineage! As of this day, we are sin’dorei! For Quel’Thalas

Kael’thas Sunstrider proclaims the rise of the blood elves

And they have every right to be stubborn on the matter.

And those who didn’t follow him never took on the name Blood Elves.

You mean apart from the fact that HE’s and BE’s have lived apart from each other, and even engaged violently with one another, for more than a decade? All while their elected governments have waged political, ideological, and physical warfare against each other.

The same fundamentally silly inquiry you’ve made could be levied at the Void Elves. What were the “established lore reasons” for them having different hairstyle (obviously, excluding tendrils)?

There weren’t any, until Blizzard decided they needed to demonstrate that a distinction exists.

Why are you ignoring that part?

im not. im proving to you your “high elves” are simply blood elves who chose not to sever ties with the alliance

if you want blood elves to be able to choose their faction like pandas im down for that. but asking for them to be called “high elves” is a joke

You’re asking for Alliance Blood Elves, because that is essentially what High Elves are.

No, they are the ones that rejected Kael’thas’ new path. People are not drones that blindly obey their leader. Those who rejected Kael remained high elves.

This poster has repeatedly suggested that High Elves don’t exist, despite himself/herself sourcing the Silver Covenant.

I just flag every post that he/she posts that remotely posits the notion that High Elves don’t exist.

So they are a decade older with a few battle scars? So are Blood Elves.

You are basing your arguments over a straw man that you made about us, i know exactly what i want and i don’t need someone pulling words that i didn’t said.

These forums need an Ignore function.

Don’t do that. Flagging is not for that, and you may end up punished if you abuse the system.
