I do believe we will be getting Dark Rangers, but they will be a hero class, not an allied race.
I think that both Dark Rangers and Tinkers will not be classes, they will be Allied Races. We will get Mechagnomes in Mechagon with all sorts of cool spider-tanky mounts to represent Tinkers, but it wonât be a class.
If i see a Dark Ranger concept with actual ideas for 3 specializations and itâs spells i would support, but i havenât seen anything like that. Dark Ranger could be a Hunter specialization but i can see many people mad at this idea.
Some said that Void could be a specialization to Dark Rangers fitting for the Void Elves, and this is nice, this race needs some love, but we need lore for that too, itâs not as simple as it looks, but considering the recent decisions of the Devs which Cool > Accurate, it can just happen, just like the Void Elves themselves.
My idea for Dark Ranger is to fuse it as a spec on a shadow-based class:

This auto locking thing is getting ridiculous.
On topic I really donât see Dark Ranges as a stand alone thing. They are literally a Undead Elf MM Hunter.
The most I see them as is a Green Fire type thing for Hunters.
Its a bug with the forums that has hopefully been resolved.
Depends. By incorporating Shadowhunters/Wardens into the mix itâd extend to Night Elves, Nightborne, Blood Elves, Void Elves, Forsaken, Darkspear Trolls⊠maybe Dark Iron Dwarves and Zandalari⊠Maybe Magâhar OrcsâŠ
I personally do not like the idea of mixing the classes together.
They should just stick with the defined universal classes which would leave tinkers and necromancers as the obvious choices. Beyond that they could get more creative such as the dragon class idea.
However if blizzard ever wanted to tackle the balancing nightmare of giving each race their own unique class I would be down for all of those.
Still is annoying.
Those are completely unrelated to each other and should not be mixed. It would literally make no one happy.
I think the Kulâtirans are a one time thing. I donât think any future allied race will use as much resources and hopefully the KT skele will see more use.
Maybe, developing the animation rig is the biggest issue, but if they could come up with ideas for a number of races to use that same animation rig, then it makes more sense.
Thatâs why I fully expect to see playable Mokânathal at some point. Itâs very likely theyâll reuse the KT animation rig.
Interesting ideas, but one issue is that it misses abilities of the typical Dark Ranger players would expect.
Itâs just a quick overview, I could make a more complete set. Plus, some abilities could use glyphs to change the visuals for something more necromantic (I imagine Black Arrow summoning a void-entity, but a glyph could change it to a void-touched skeleton, for instance).
I donât think so. Most classes in WoW are amalgamations of old RTS units and heroes. Shamans drew a lot of abilities from Shadow Hunters, Witch Doctors, for instance, but they do not fit exactly those old dark magic users.
So, I thought: the game lacks a proper Shadow-based class. Why not amalgam a lot of old dark magic units into a class that provides multiple interpretations, as well as racial variations?
This class could represent the Wardens (with their skills like Blink, Spirit of Vengeance, Shadow Strike), Dark Rangers (Dark Arrow, Steal Life, troll voodoo users like Witch Doctor and Shadow Hunter and other shadow magic concepts, while being very different of Shadow Priest/Affliction Warlock.
Would it be perfect? Of course not, but it would cover a lot of ground that we are missing nowadays. It could be available to all races known for using shadowy powers (void elves, dark irons, night elves, trolls, zandalari, undead, magâhar and future possibilities like Sanâlayn). And some of its spells could be like shamans or druids and be race-flavored to improve immersion.
Good idea, thatâd work well.
Thereâs too much hate towards our High Elf community, but even with so many people against us, we do not give up. Thatâs why Iâm proud to be part of such relentless group.
If High Elves become playable one day, I think they should receive one Racial related to it.
Iâm not going to lie, I didnât expect to see this endurance level after what Ion and haters have done to us. Itâs really impressive.
