The Unfortunate Racist implication of Human Exceptionalism

They gained the Kul Tiran Navy, the gained Stromgarde, and they gained puppet leaders in the Horde.

Stormwind gained everything from BfA. Non of which was in the service of the Night Elves.

they always had stormgarde, and they gained the navy to win the war, did you read bts, doesnt seem like they wanted the war at all, please point out a character that really really wanted the war, that is in bfa

No they didn’t, Stromgarde was a near ruin, mostly inhabited by Syndicate, Trolls and Ogres.

So what? It was a War that started with the genocide of the Night Elves… A genocide Stormwind did nothing to prevent. A genocide that happened because Stormwind’s spy network failed. And Stormwind’s response was to reclaim long-lost human holdings.

Here you are again, bogging down real conversation with needless details.

Rogers, Genn, Shaw, and Jaina.

Funny, what do all of them have in common?

they sure do nothing to start the war lol, and rogers isnt in bfa, she gets punished in bts, shaw literally doesnt want war with the horde, but funny you mention him as he is the one who talks about revenge for teld the most, and genn actively helps the nelves the most.
and jaina well, I dont think I have to talk about her, bfa does that for me.

Stormwind’s SI:7 was the weak link in the chain that led to Kaldorei defeat in War of Thorns…

That’s why he flooded Ogrimmar with spies, huh?

Talk it cheap… when you talk about one thing but do another, I am not inclined to believe you.

You are right… Much to the displeasure of Anduin.

She left the Council of Six in Legion because she loves the Horde so much.

military blunders arent trying to start a war.

Yep, did you read it?’

do the war campaign

Only because anduin wants to take out the navy first, I honestly thing you are probably the only person who thinks anduin has ill intent. I find this funny,

doesnt like the horde or not trusting them doesnt mean they start a war, remember that how tyrande treated the horde in valsharah? if thats grounds for it, then tyrande wanted this war as much as the humans.

Perhaps not, but failing to help your ally survive your own blunder is not the behavior of someone who cares about their allies.

Yep.

I have.

I don’t assume Anduin has ill intent, I think it is likely a young, impressionable teenager with zero experience in governing, is likely to be influenced by people with ill intent.

It has been what she has wanted since MOP.

There is a difference between throw-away dialogue, and the entire motivation of a character for years.

failing only happens when you try.

which characters? Oh they dont exist.

jaina motivation was never to start a war with the horde, she didnt trust them.

Shaw, Jaina, Rogers, Genn…. And you know, Kings have advisors.

“Already the conspire against us. Seize this moment, Varian… Dismantle the Horde.”
Yeah… Okay.

You can have your headcanon about Night Elves reclaiming their territory. I can see the Alliance for how it is explicitly portrayed.

Again, it might not have been Blizzard’s intention, but when you have Stormwind flying the colors over land that isn’t theirs, then they can use foreign land for bartering and trade agreements. When they have international troops in Stormwind uniforms… That is vassalization. Period. You have nothing.

You’re not gonna get anywhere with someone who can’t comprehend any stance that isn’t the stance Blizzard wants them to have.

Kat, just be glad your not a critic.

but this isnt criticism, criticism is something like Blizzard uses humans too much in the story
Humans being imperialistic just isnt true, thats like me saying forsaken are the hordes hippy race.

Kat, i’m going to be blunt with you, a part of criticism is tearing into unfortunate implications of writing, going over poor writing trends and bad characterization, things you refuse to admit blizzard has. Saying “This is glorifying imperialism” over the fact that the Age of Exploration Europeans from Across the sea invading the Mesoamerican influenced nation and killing their king as being a good thing isn’t what blizzard INTENDED, but is what a lot of people feel because that’s what. they. did. It is Unintentional, but it is there. Thats Criticism, going over the flaws of the authors in both an attempt to let people know of the quality of the work and what the authors need to do in order to improve. Just saying “Well they overuse humans a lot” and not getting into the implications people get from that is not criticism, it’s nitpicking. You need to explain why this is bad, you need to show what negative consequences it has on the work!

Ummm, i am mexican i didnt see that at all, mostly cause the zandas invaded boralas first, I know you only play one side, but just look up the story you dont have to make multiple characters you know. And they do use humans alot, you want me to make a list, do you play this game? Humans in no way are imperialistic, they didnt go to zanda to plant a flag, they didnt even start this war. I think blizzard knows why overusing one race is bad, wod and mop happened.

Kat, even if you cant see it, a lot of people did and felt like it was. As for “they know why its bad” they clearly do not. Because. They. Keep. Doing. It.

yeah the aztecs totally invaded spain right.

Your hopeless, like legit the most hopeless individual ive ever seen. You refuse to learn basic things like implication, or why plotholes lead the questions fans want answered, or even analogue and metaphore.

THe zandalar invaded boralas, the kul’trias attacked and destroyed there navy for it, horde players always trying to play down how they start things

That’s why it glorifies it. It’s a story in which the Mesoamerican influenced nation had it coming and the people who attacked them did nothing wrong. That’s worse than if the Mesoamerican influenced people were just defending their home from invaders.

Even ignoring real life stuff, it’s a story with no depth.
